I made the decision to hire Michelle to sing at my wedding last month, after literally weeks of searching the web, reviewing recommendations & going backwards and forwards with various bands and singers. I chose Michelle in the end, because she had a real powerhouse of a voice, that I thought would be just right to get the party started at the reception. The decision was well stewed over!! Michelle put on what I can only describe as an awesome performance. Her Voice was absolutely incredible, and really lifted the reception into party mode. She sang for us , and covered all of the songs we wanted, as well as a few little requests on the night. I could not be any happier with Michelle’s performance. Having been to 3 weddings this year, I can comfortably say that Michelle’s performance set my wedding aside from everyone else’s, without a doubt. The dance floor was quite honestly busy from start to finish, a rarity in my experience & we had more comments from guests on Michelle’s performance than anything else – which I was delighted with ( as this was my only responsibility in preparation for the wedding). Well, five days before our big day the singer we had booked had to cancel (through no fault of his own), but he managed to alleviate our stress by setting us up with Michelle. Michelle was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. Before the wedding I spoke to her about the logistics of the day and what we were looking for. We then sent a list of songs we wanted including in our set and those we definitely didn't. Michelle and her team were at the venue in plenty of time and liaised with the venue to ensure the set up didn't involve us. The backdrop looked great and the songs were perfect. Absolutely everyone commented on how amazing her singing was, my boss though we were listening to a CD (we thought the exact same thing at the wedding where we discovered her). The songs played all night fitted completely with what we wanted; they seemed to know from our short list exactly what we would enjoy. And i don't remember a time the dance floor was empty. We were lucky enough to have Michelle agree to sing at my wife's 50th birthday dinner. We had heard Michelle's tracks on her and her management company's website and on You Tube and we were hugely impressed with her voice. On the 3rd of December 2011 I was lucky enough to have booked Michelle Lawson for the wedding of my daughter Jenni and son to be Craig. We searched high & low to find an artist to sing during their wedding, the wedding breakfast and for their first dance; having listened to Michelle on line, all of us agreed she was the one. To say she exceeded my expectations is an understatement; she made a wonderful day into a magical one. Her voice is outstanding and from the first song she sang "I'm Kissing You" by Des’ree as Jenni walked down the aisle was just awesome and made it feel so special and so moving that I was crying like a baby.
