We are now looking for sponsorship of this years event, which is on Saturday 27th July from 12 o'clock at Roberttown Community Centre, Church Road WF15 7LS.

The following packages are available:

Individual Barrel Sponsorship costs £100 per barrel and includes the following:
Company advert in the virtual event programme
Company Logo and recognition of sponsorship on our thank you
board
Company Logo and recognition of sponsorship on the walls in
the main hall (real ale bar)

Entry for 2 people including priority wristbands

Hi everyone local to me!

I'm about to make a start on the volunteer staff rota for Bobtown Beer Bash 2024, which is on Saturday 27th July from 12 o'clock. No bar experience necessary as training will be given, and there are some non-bar jobs to cover too.

We also need help to set up the event in the morning from 8am, and split it all down again on Sunday 28th from 9am.

If you can spare a few hours to help and haven’t already let us know, please message me with when you’re available

You’ll receive a limited edition staff tee shirt plus free entry to the event, and a free drink to say thank you, and you'll have lots of fun!

Please share and get your friends involved too!

Planning is about to start for BBB 2024, which is on Saturday 27th July at Roberttown Community Centre.

Please let us know if you’re interested in joining the team, or have any good ideas for improving the event.

The first meeting of the year will be in the New Inn at 7.30pm tomorrow (Tuesday 16th April)

The organising team would like to thank everyone for coming along to BBB 2023 on Saturday, it was a great day and luckily the weather held for us.

We'd like to thank our Event sponsor Edmondson's I.T. Services; the real ale bar sponsor The Old Colonial Mirfield; the cider bar sponsor The New Inn, Roberttown; and the entertainment sponsor Liversedge Cricket Club. Also the individual barrel sponsors, all listed on our website, and the small Roberttown businesses who took out an advert. Their sponsorship ensures that we have enough money to put the event on, and in turn raise lots of money for local groups and charities.

Thank you to the volunteers who helped us with setting up the event, from building up bars and erecting gazebos, to setting out tables & chairs and putting up notices. It takes a lot of work to get everything ready in time and then take it all apart again afterwards, and we are very grateful.

Thanks to the army of volunteers who help out by taking entry money, selling tokens, serving drinks and marshalling people around the event - it takes around 65 people to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible and we couldn't do it without you! Thanks also to Laura for taking photos all day - they will all be on the page as soon as possible so feel free to tag yourself and your friends!

Thanks to the bands who played for us, each one was brilliant and the crowd loved every minute! Thanks to Pete Earnshaw for putting the lineup together and providing the sound system, and to Spen Valley High School for lending us the stage. Thanks to the team who built the stage and erected the canopy - very special this year as it's a piece of the huge tarpaulin that until recently covered The George Hotel in Huddersfield while it was being renovated!

Thanks to Buckles Butchers of Roberttown for cooking up some lovely burgers, and to Pure & Natural Cuisines for the delicious freshly made curries.

Less than a week to go and we're all on weather watch, hoping for a break in the rain before Saturday!!

If you have volunteered for helping us to set up on Saturday, or are doing a shift at the event, please remember that you need to attend one of the teeshirt collection / briefing sessions at the Community Centre this week - Thursday 27th at 7pm or Friday 28th at 6.30pm. Your teeshirt gets you into the event for free, so it's important that you have it beforehand.

Please contact us ASAP if you haven't been given details of your shift, or if you haven't volunteered yet and would like to help. Thank you!

To everyone else, we look forward to welcoming you from 12pm on Saturday. We have some excellent entertainment lined up for you, details are on our website.

Payments can be made by cash or card, including at the food outlets. No payments can be taken at the bars, tokens are available near the entrance to the event.

We look forward to seeing everyone, and if it rains - bring a brolly! Cheers!

As promised, here are the beer and cider lists for BBB 2023. They will also be available on a QR code at the event.

As always, we are at the mercy of the brewers, and the beers & ciders on the lists may be substituted for others at the last minute. We will try and keep you updated, but we're sure you'll enjoy whatever is available on the day 🙂

Beer and cider lists coming soon!

This year you'll be able to see the lists in advance of the event, and they will also be available via QR codes on the day.

We can now accept contactless card payments for entry and drinks tokens, and at the food outlets.

Festival face-painting will be available for a cash donation to Forget Me Not Childrens Hospice.

PLEASE NOTE - Only alcohol bought at the event may be consumed on the premises. Any contraband will be confiscated.

Cost is £100 and all money raised is donated to local groups and charities within 3 months of the event.

There are several perks to being a sponsor, free entry for 2 people; a supply of tokens to spend at the event; priority service at the bars; and adverts for your business around the event and online.

We’re also looking for volunteers to help out at the event, or with set up before and take down after.

We’re pleased to announce that planning has started for BBB 2023, which will be on Saturday 29th July.

We are looking for sponsors for the bars, entertainment, printing, haulage, and as many barrel sponsors as we can get in order to raise as much money for local groups and charities as possible.
