Today I (and a few others) were supposed to be running a stall at the ‘frost fest’ however this has now cancelled so I’m reaching out to folk (and the other stall holders) to come to our venue at Gooey Events Limited in livingston village, it’s an indoor venue so at least a bit warmer than standing outside all day.

We have plenty of stock made too (because we’ve been making loads for it) so hoping people will pop in for a coffee, buy stuff and come in and say hi!

Any stall holders please get in touch and I can give you address details etc - I have no idea who was also signed up so please share or tag to get the word round

Our Story

Humble Beginnings - Having a 6 year old who loved making her own chocolate treats, I was keen to start a little local workshop doing the same for other local kids, I started ‘Getting Gooey’ in 2013 running local mobile chocolate workshops in a local community centre. I opened my 1st ever chocolate workshop in July 2014 in an old engineering training building in one of the internal offices. 3 years later and we now have 2 party rooms that are great (not perfect but the kids love it) for chocolate making, crafting and fun!

Crafty - The crafting side has really taken off and even though I’m SUPER careful not to tread on friends toes that also run crafting workshops, we still manage to create a great experience for the children in particular.

Not just for kids - Adults also love to pop along as even though we’re not in the most perfect building, the room is a world away from everything and I’ve created a very relaxed atmosphere. It’s not been an easy road and working part time in another job means I don’t have time to inject into making the most perfect workshop I envisage, but it’s a start, I guess I should be proud of the fact I didn’t just sit and say “what if?” and really stuck at it when times have hit hard personally.

Strong Bonds - I’ve also gained a few amazing friendships along the way, my gym, coffee and blether buddies Jackie and Joanne, They keep me grounded and gee me up whenever I need a pick me up, Leonie and Kaitlyn our wee ’starlets’ and of course my amazing hubby and Ruby who actually do help out in the workshop a lot!
