It has been some time since I updated this page so I have flooded this post with cakes that I have created over the past few years.

I moved from South London to North Wales a few years back and now I have finally settled in my new house I am planning to re-open Rosie's Kitchen.

Creating beautiful celebration cakes and themed children's birthday cakes.

The shop will be re-opening after the Easter weekend.

This is the end product of all my months of practice, my lovely little brothers wedding cake, it is as eccentric, colourful and unusual as he and his new wife Helen are and tells a little bit of their story.

If you have been following this page for a while you will know that I am currently self teaching myself some new cake decorating skills, mostly hand painting. This week I have been getting all festive.

The cake is Victoria Sponge with a Christmas Tree on.

I will be giving the cake away for FREE tomorrow, but I do ask for a donation towards ingredients, box and board (£4-£5)

No cake this week as I am away on holiday visiting family around the country, but I did find this lovely little bakery in Bristol so going to indulge in someone else's cake.

It's that Friday Feeling again...and a chance to win a cake.
I am currently self teaching myself some new cake decorating skills, this week I have been working on hand painting again and have made a blackboard cake with French vocabulary on. Extra prize for knowing what it says...joke!
The cake is chocolate with vanilla buttercream, see images below.

I could keep working on this peacock design for a lot longer but I've had a long day so am happy to leave it here and say it's done.
Again just practising on sugar paste so no cake attached.

Over the next few months I will be teaching myself more complex cake decorating skills as I have a very important wedding cake to make in February and my idea is big and complicated.

Every Friday I will be practicing my skill, and the cake I practice on I will be giving away For FREE. The picture below is the cake I made today, bonfire night cake with vanilla sponge, first lesson: ensure consistency of the royal icing isn't too runny.
