I always forget to take photos when doing buffets as I’m usually too busy and they’re mostly wrapped up by the time I’m finished! But this was just a small one for 15. I say small… there’s 14 platters there for 15 people (two of them are kids party platters which I went a bit overboard with so rather than the 1 grazing it should’ve been I ended up splitting the savoury and sweet!) I do think I need to portion control better!
When supporting small businesses, please remember that it isn’t just putting items on a platter….
*There’s a good couple of hours shopping for various ingredients which are invariably not all under the same roof! 🙄
*a solid day of baking/cooking the day before
*usually a good 3 hours putting it all together and baking on the day
*the cost of platters, serving dishes (which have doubled in price! we absorb these costs!)
*delivery - which we don’t charge for either if it’s local.
If I add it all up, it sometimes makes me wonder if it’s worth it….. BUT the lovely messages we receive afterwards say otherwise!

We sold out of Xmas sweet cones and the snowmen/Penguin hot chocolate stirrers yesterday, so a last batch have now been made up for this year….. HURRY - JUST MONDAY LEFT TO PICK THEM UP!

Roast Turkey not long out of the oven, so hot roast turkey, cranberry and stuffing baps are ready to go and we’ll be doing it all over again tomorrow!
