Never Give Up

Last week, my 7-year-old little girl came into the shop and, as she always does, went straight to the aprons to put one on. "Mummy, we need to get to work," she said with determination. As she looked around the shop, she suddenly declared, "Mummy, we need a motto for the shop." I was taken aback, but even more so when she confidently suggested the motto: "Never Give Up."

As we continued chatting, I noticed her glancing around thoughtfully. "We need to have the motto at the top of the wall and above the door as customers walk out, Mummy, so people can see it and Never Give Up... like you." Her words truly touched my heart. My daughter has the biggest heart, and her insight shocked me in the best way.

As parents, we always hope to see the best in our children, but sometimes life moves so fast that we don't pause to truly notice their incredible perspectives. This moment with my daughter reminded me to take a step back and appreciate her wisdom and love.

Some people might think the things my husband and I do are crazy, but when you have a dream and the drive to pursue it—Never Give Up. We are givers by nature and will always give what we can.

There are times when we need to take a different path or even make sacrifices, but if you have a goal or a dream—Never Give Up. My dream is my family, and I strive to build my business around them. Sometimes, this requires taking a different approach, but with perseverance and love, we always find our way.

So, to everyone who walks through our doors—remember to hold onto your dreams, work hard, and Never Give Up.

🌷 Happy National Tulip Day! 🌷

Today marks the official opening of tulip season in Amsterdam—a magical time for flower lovers! If you're lucky enough to be in Amsterdam this weekend, be sure to visit the tulip gardens. You might even get the chance to pick your own tulips for free!

Did you know there are over 3,000 varieties of tulips? These beauties even keep growing after they’re cut and placed in water. My personal favorite? The vibrant and whimsical parrot tulip!

Unfortunately, Mother Nature hasn’t been on our side lately. Last year’s relentless rain caused severe damage, drowning many tulip bulbs and leaving growers with significantly reduced stock. As a result, tulip production has dropped by 35%, and prices have risen by 44%. The smaller bulbs have also impacted quality, with supermarket bouquets now offering fewer stems at the same price—and often at a lower grade.

For true tulip enthusiasts like me, the solution is clear: visit your local florist for the best quality blooms! 🌷 Supporting florists not only means better flowers but also helps keep the love for tulips alive.

We are excited to announce the opening of our new shop, Blossom to Bloom, and we're thrilled to share our upcoming opening hours with you! Whether you're a bride, a wedding couple, or planning a special event, we’re here to help bring your vision to life.

Shop Opening Hours
Our doors will be open for walk-ins on the following days:

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday: 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Saturday: 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Additionally, we offer appointments for brides, wedding couples, and those planning events, so you can have our full attention as you plan your special day. Please feel free to reach out to schedule a time that works best for you.

On Sunday, I had the pleasure of meeting so many fantastic couples at the Promise Wedding Fayre in Swansea.com! 💍✨ Whether you've just gotten engaged or have already started planning your dream wedding for 2025, it was so lovely to hear your stories and excitement.

First off, a huge CONGRATULATIONS to all the newly engaged couples! 🎉 And a big whoop to those of you who've been engaged for a while and are now diving into the planning – I loved hearing all about your wedding dreams! 💕

It was such a joy to chat with you all, and I can't wait to connect again soon as you bring your plans to life. Here's to making 2025 an unforgettable year! ✨

As we head into the new year, it's easy to fall back into the rush of everyday life, jumping straight onto the conveyor belt of tasks and to-dos. But before we dive back in, let's take a moment to reflect on the importance of slowing down.

🎄 Christmas? I hear you shout – that was weeks ago! But this year, we did things a little differently. Instead of rushing through the chaos, we had our Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve, and I'm happy to say that's now our new tradition! 🎉 By doing it this way, we were able to fully relax and enjoy Christmas Day without the usual hassle. It was a Christmas like no other – hardly any phone use, completely switching off. ✨

Now, I'll admit, I'm usually one of those people who can't wait to take down the decorations... but this year, I held on until the 12th day after Christmas. It felt like Christmas didn't just fly by in a blink of an eye. 🎄⏳

And then, before we've even left December, the sales start online and in stores, pushing us right back into the commercial world. But do we really need to rush? Could we bring back the slower pace of the old days, where the sales didn't start until January 1st, and we could really get excited about shopping for a bargain? Sometimes, the old traditions really are the best. 🎁

It's the classic Christmas songs that bring the real magic, and maybe it's the old ways that work too. I'm looking ahead to 2025 with a lighter heart – still full of unknowns, yes, but with clean, fresh air, longer days, and bright possibilities ahead. 🌟

I've enjoyed my time as a "Christmas sloth" and now, I'm waking up to a new year, ready to face the challenges ahead, step by step. With lots of laughter and a peaceful attitude, we'll continue moving forward... but maybe in a more relaxed, 'swivel-on-your-finger' way. 😄

Here's to a new year of embracing what really matters, one moment at a time. 🥂💫
