We are proud to work in partnership with the Beer Park team to bring you an exclusive gift range of Welsh beers! 🍻

We see a load of tourists over the Summer. Of course the No1 attraction in town is Llanelly House which now offers a great gift for visitors - a lovely pack of four great Welsh beers. And of course if you like these we have a couple of hundred other Welsh beers .

From Monday 2nd until Monday 30th September, the House will feature as a venue for this year’s Open Studios and Arts Trail - organised by

Resident Artist, John Wynne Hopkins will have work exhibited in our Gallery and on select dates throughout the month you will be able to meet John in his “studio” at the House.

Alongside John, we also have art displayed by local artist Ruth Lewis , renowned Welsh landscape painter, Sir Kyffin Williams, and founder of the Royal Academy of Arts, Sir Joshua Reynolds.

🇫🇷 We were privileged to host a delegation of young people from Agen earlier this week, as part of the Twinning Associations cultural exchange between our two towns.

🕰️ Our continental guests enjoyed traditional Welsh hospitality, and learned about the House’s Georgian and Victorian past.

🎩 Waiting to meet them in his study was William Chambers Jr, local Magistrate and Justice of the Peace - who thoroughly quizzed our visitors on their knowledge of geography and history!

🎓 Llanelly House will be launching a very exciting project in September, which will give children across Carmarthenshire and beyond an opportunity to access historical resources in a Victorian schoolroom setting.

⏳ The facility is well on the way towards completion, however we are still looking for some additional period items to enhance the space and make it an authentic and immersive experience for learners and teachers alike.

🪑This is where your support would be much appreciated. We would particularly like to source a few more school desks, a blackboard and any other items which would fit within the space, including maps, an atlas, charts, writing slates, abacuses and books. It goes without saying that these items need to be of the period (or as close as possible).

Today we said a final farewell to a dear friend and supporter of the House. Lee is fondly remembered for his unmatched talent, generous spirit and irrepressible passion for life.

He was a regular fixture at the House, performing alongside fellow volunteers (including his wife Helen) in our Murder Mystery events as Antonio the Minstrel and as part of Moonshine Duo at Tapas Nights.

Lee will be greatly missed by everyone; Trustees, Management and the wider team included, such was his warmth and personality.

🚧 Exciting updates ahead! Our beautiful, grade one listed building is getting a little TLC. We’re wrapping it up in scaffolding for some essential maintenance and a lick of paint. It’s an exciting time for us, and we’re thrilled to share the progress with you.

🚪 In the meantime our doors remain open! While our exterior gets a makeover, everything inside continues as usual. So, please come in and explore all the unique history and hospitality Llanelly House has to offer.
