Hi, my name is Cara and I am 22 years old. In May 2012 I won the Under 21 Flower Arranging competition at the Anglesey Young Farmers Rally. At the rally I was approached by Llwyddo'n Lleol with a view to starting my own business, with their support. My application was heard by the Panel on 22nd August 2012 and my business, Blodau Cara, started trading in September 2012. Since then I have provided

flower arrangements for Weddings, funerals, memorial tributes, gifts and bouquets in both real and artificial flowers. My business was shortlisted for the YFC Wales NatWest Business of the Year Award 2014. I have recently graduated, with First Class Honours from Lancaster University, having studied BSc Entrepreneurship and Management.

I loved being back working with flowers this weekend.
Very honoured to be asked to prepare the flowers for my cousin and his new wife’s wedding yesterday.
Cari was the most beautiful bride and the blush pink roses in her bouquet complemented her bridesmaids dresses perfectly.

I cannot believe Blodau Cara is 10 years old today! Being able to run my own business from the age of 13 has provided me with so many experiences and opportunities, from recording a radio advert broadcasted on Heart Radio, making loads of lifelong friends to being able to purchase my first car!

However, it is with a very heavy heart, that I have decided to close the business. I moved away to Royal Leamington Spa last year, and as a result I have been unable to run the business alongside my full time role.

I am extremely grateful for all of your support over the last 10 years, I wouldn’t have been able to pursue what I love without you. Diolch, Cara 🌸🌷

Many of you will be aware that I now live in Leamington Spa. As a result I am not currently accepting orders, but, how could I refuse my cousin who got married on Saturday!
I don’t normally do wedding flowers but really enjoyed getting back into action.

I hope everyone had a happy and healthy Christmas 🎄

As most of you know I moved away to Leamington Spa in October and haven’t been trading as normal since.

Due to this I will not be accepting orders for fresh Mother’s Day flowers. However, if there is enough interest I will be offering artificial grave arrangements. To ensure that I have enough time to fulfill and deliver the flowers to Anglesey in time, orders must be placed by February 18th.

Collection will be from Llangefni.

I just wanted to thank you all for your patience regarding Christmas orders for this year.

Unfortunately I will not be able to take on any additional orders for fresh Christmas flowers due to working up until Christmas Eve. I am really sorry about this and it is honestly a decision that hasn’t been made lightly.

However, I will have 20 slots for artificial arrangements that will be £20 including grave pots which will be available for collection from Llangefni.

As you’ll know today was the last day that I was fulfilling orders before Christmas as I am moving away.

I have 2 of these artificial arrangements available that can be delivered for free on Anglesey tomorrow or over the weekend. These would be perfect for graves over the winter months.

So yesterday was my birthday and my parents got me the most beautiful cake from Nina's Cake Cabin.
They sent a couple of pictures of some of my bouquets to see if any of them could be replicated - the result is amazing!
