Storm Darragh hit us hard in the hills, leaving us with no electricity for two days. With just one hob and a barbecue, we managed to feed this party of 30 all weekend (with some necessary tweaks to the menu!)

I couldn’t have done it without such a great team of folk - , hurrah for us!

North African & Middle Eastern, Spanish inspired menu:

To start- a trio of tapas with 3 dips and pittas
*pan-fried parsnips with lentils, dates and maple syrup.
*roast carrots with cumin, orange and ras- el - hanout
* warm kale salad with cranberries, cinnamon and toasted seed dressing
The dips- Tahini yoghurt sauce, Chermoula, Whipped feta

Mains-
Marinaded, Baked chicken with preserved lemons and green olives
Or
Roast Pumpkin, chickpea and apricot Tagine
Served with bejewelled cous cous and spiced flat bread

Desserts-
Citrus and rose petal tart
Or
Cloud 9 chocolate mousse cake with thick cream
Small coffee or mint tea
