Nodyn gan Bwyllgor y Neuadd Bentref

Er mwyn bod yn agored a chyfathrebu’n ehangach, rydym yn hysbysu’r pentref ymlaen llaw o’n bwriad i dorri tua 12 o goed ar y cae chwarae, sy’n edrych dros ystafelloedd newid y Clwb Pêl-droed. Mae hyn yn gyfan gwbl am resymau iechyd a diogelwch. Ar ôl arolwg coed diweddar, fe’n hysbyswyd bod y coed mewn cyflwr gwael, yn hollti ac yn colli canghennau ac yn debygol o achosi anaf i bobl a difrod i’r ystafelloedd newid mewn tywydd garw. Ni fydd ein hyswiriant yn yswirio difrod o'r fath, felly nid oes gennym unrhyw ddewis ond torri'r coed. Gwneir hyn ym mis Medi, cyn y gaeaf. Rydym yn hapus i ystyried ailblannu dilynol, ond gyda rhywbeth mwy addas i'r ardal. Byddem yn croesawu unrhyw sylwadau ar opsiynau ailblannu. Bydd y gwaith yn cael ei wneud gan gontractwr coedwigaeth lleol.

Note from the Village Hall Committee

In the interests of openness and wider communication, we are informing the village in advance of our intention to fell around 12 trees on the playing field, overlooking the Football Club changing rooms. This is entirely for health and safety reasons. After a recent tree survey, we have been advised that the trees are in poor condition, are splitting and shedding branches and likely to cause injury to people and damage to the changing rooms in bad weather. Our insurance will not cover such damage, so we have no option but to fell the trees. This will be done in September, before the winter. We are happy to consider subsequent replanting, but with something more suitable to the area. We would welcome any thoughts on replanting options. The work will be carried out by a local forestry contractor.

🚗⚡️The EV car charging point at the village hall is now up and running and the two spaces by it are reserved for that purpose. Thank you to all who helped with getting them installed.

Llanon WI are holding an Old Fashioned Jumble Sale next Saturday 1st June at Llanon Village Hall. 10.30am - 12.30pm.

Stalls will include bric a brac, plants, books/toys, clothes and a raffle. No entrance charge. Tea/coffee/squash and cake will be available. Do come along and support us!
