Giving back this holiday season ✨
At 30 Euston Square, charity giving and community impact is at the heart of everything we do. It’s a year-round priority which has culminated in two new initiatives this month.
We’ve partnered with Shelter, the housing and homelessness charity, and have installed a clothing box at the venue. The team will be encouraging organisers and delegates to bring items of clothing with them to events at 30 Euston Square to donate to those most in need.
We also recently visited our long term charity partner Euston Foodbank to donate essential food items, purchased following cancelled events this year. To date, we’ve donated more than £10,000 to the charity, which helps feed people in the local Euston community.

Today, on World Environment Day, we reflect on the importance of sustainability and our role in protecting our planet. At 30 Euston Square, we're committed to making a difference every day. Here's a glimpse into our efforts so far:
♻️ - Nespresso Pod Recycling: By repurposing 4,450 pods into biofuel and fertilizer, and recycling 2.84kg of aluminum, we're reducing waste and promoting resource efficiency.
🍳 - Cooking Oil Recycling: Converting 256L of cooking oil into biofuel has resulted in a significant reduction of 2.24 tons of CO2e emissions, highlighting the impact of reusing resources.
💧 - In-House Filtered Water: Providing 9,941L of filtered water and eliminating 1,066kg of plastic waste underscores our commitment to conserving resources and reducing our carbon footprint. This initiative has saved 5.8 tons of CO2e emissions.
🌎 - Chopping Board Resurfacing: Renovating 43 boards has removed 357kg of plastic from waste streams, showcasing the importance of small changes in reducing pollution.
📚 - Digital Periodicals: Transitioning to digital copies, with 402 digital replacements of 1,608 printed periodicals, emphasizes our dedication to paper conservation and reducing deforestation.

In light of the cost-of-living crisis, we have decided to support this incredibly important local charity who are helping to combat hunger at a time when people are increasingly having to make decisions about basic human needs, such as heating or food. This should never be a decision that someone has to make.
