🌱What makes a Green Wedding?🌱
Are you engaged and are you looking for inspiration for your wedding day?
Are you looking for ways to make your wedding day more sustainable, maybe even have a positive impact on our planet!
Today I share with you some ideas from my latest photoshoot where I collaborated with some incredible suppliers.
The idea was to showcase a tablescape inspired by the best of spring in an eco friendly and environmentally conscious way.
💐🌸🌻The great wild british blooms were the star of the show! Brought together by the lonely Alarna from thewildsocietyuk
🥂🍷🍾I was lucky enough to find Tonys Glassworks . Tony creates amazing candle holders and flower vases from repurposed bottles. The transformation process is incredible and it is wonderful to see the beautiful variety Tony has to offer, green, clear, brown, glass with immaculate finishes that will definitely add some spark to your tables!
🍃The leaf place names are from Ivy Inks Paper Co.🍃They have an stunning collection of unusual stationery, paper free, made of compostable or natural materials that are easily biodegradable.
As I mentioned in previous posts one of the ways to keep your wedding green is to hire crockery and additional glassware. Jones Hire has an incredible variety that fit any kind of style or design you might have in mind.
🙌🏻A big thank you to all that made this shoot happen and a special to Ali for letting us use this lovely garden in Clapton for the photoshoot. 🙌🏻

Your sustainable wedding does not have to look rustic!
Sustainable weddings are not a style, they are a choice.
When you choose to have a sustainable wedding you are not restricted to specific styles like boho, eco, rustic, wild, outdoor, etc.
Planning a sustainable wedding allows you to enjoy your wedding day by making the right choices. Choosing ethical suppliers, making meaningful choices that work for you, are all part of the process of reducing your carbon footprint, ensuring you are part of the solution to the climate and social crisis, not part of the problem.
The style of your wedding should be defined by you.
Your wedding should be uniquely yours.
My main mission when I set up SWW was to help engaged couples to make their dream wedding come true without costing the Earth!

When it comes to suppliers it is important to be mindful that there have been many changes in the wedding industry over the last few years.
A growing number of businesses have changed their practices to ensure that their impact on our communities and our planet is kept to the minimum.
The combination of research and experience in the industry is the only way to make sure that you are picking the right suppliers.
Making sure that their sustainability values are aligned with yours is very important but you have to make sure that they are able to deliver on your wedding day.
Here are some tips:
Ask for references
Check with your venue,
Ask other suppliers you have already booked,
This is an important area we cover in my workshops: understanding what to look out for; What questions to ask; Where and how to research.
This and a lot more tips, info and insight into making your sustainable wedding come to life.

It is not uncommon for weddings guests feel pressured to wear something new, to having to buy something new for the occasion.
A big problem we have with sustainability is fast fashion! For bridal wear, bridesmaids, groomsmen, mother of the bride, the list goes on and on. So here is a tip: send out a note to your guest saying that instead of buying something new, you would love for them to wear one of their favourite outfits.
When @janefonda showed up to present the Best Picture award, she did so in a dress she’d previously worn to another major film event. That wasn’t accidental. As an environmental activist, Fonda spent most Fridays in October and November last year peacefully protesting the dangers of climate change.
