Facilitators can invite new and existing members to input essential information directly into the system at the start of each term or before an event.

Forms can be easily attached to registration and made mandatory, for example: dietary information, or optional: for example, optional activity sign-up.

Participants will not be on the event list as confirmed to attend until all mandatory forms have been completed.

Tangles Events allows participants to instantly view and access all the necessary forms they must complete before check-in. Any information completed as part of an event will then be updated at community level, such as medical notes or allergies.

Checking a participant into an event allows administrators to confidently confirm that all pre-registration requirements have been completed, such as medical or consent forms.

Tangles allows competing teams to plot hike routes for expedition style events.

Participants and teams can then be tracked while taking part to ensure their safety and to review route deviations taken after the event. 🏞️

We’ve updated group chat in the apps to add some familiar messaging features and also to allow moderation of content by the community. Chats now support message reactions and the ability to flag inappropriate content. Individuals can also remove messages, as can administrators if a message is deemed inappropriate. Image handling has been updated and the iPhone release supports sending of multiple images from inside the app as well as sharing from other apps

The new Tangles Events WordPress plugin, available on the wordpress.org plugin directory allows you to show upcoming events for your community in a calendar format on any WordPress web site. From the Tangles web admin view you can choose which events will be shown on any of your WordPress enabled sites

With Tangles, you can use pre-defined community templates. These let you assign moderator roles to community members to keep events running and participants safe. If you need to, you can assign additional roles to an individual for a specific event

For larger communities, Tangles uses teams to help manage your membership. You can group teams by category to keep them organised. Members can belong to multiple teams in different categories.

Setting up teams in events or chats is easy - as well as creating event and chat teams from scratch, you can use community teams as well. If your community team membership changes, your event teams will too to reflect this.

There are many ways to add members to your community. You can create a profile for someone and send them an invite, scan an existing member’s QR code and add them to your community or create a shareable invite for anyone to sign up with

Tangles supports signing in without a password, using just the user’s device. Signup is now quick and easy – when accepting an initial invite from your community, the user just scans or enters an invite code and connects.

Parent users can now also sign up to the Tangles app and can link to their child’s account. This allows them to view communities and events that their child is signup up to. Tangles supports parental controls which determine what a child can sign up to and do themselves. Parent information is also visible to community admins for any community that the child belongs to.

The Android app is now fully live in Google Play and supports all community and event management; chats; maps; route, waypoint tracking and location tracking. Events can be configured directly from the app or the web and can be fully controlled when live from the mobile app.
