We are super proud to create a massive 20inch vegan pandan wedding cake for Elizabeth and Xavierโs wedding day last week!
We spent 1 month planning and 4 days making this massive 15kg cake! We both have been professional chefs for over 8 years now and we always love challenges to create new artwork for your special day!
The Chinese character โๅโ on top of the cake literally means double happiness! It is commonly used as a Chinese wedding symbol to present the joy and happiness for the newlyweds as they begin their marriage.

Char Siu AKA barbecued pork is a really popular dish in HK and it is super delicious. I guess thatโs the reason why Asian parents sometimes say ็ๅฟๅ็ๅฅฝ้็ไฝ ๏ผ Literallyโโgiving birth to a piece of char siu is better than giving birth to youโโ (from Wiki) to their naughty kid. ๐คฃ
Itโs usually served with rice and sometimes you can find it as a dim sum!

Alright, so we have been super busy last Saturday. ๐ฅFirst thing in the morning, we delivered a cute customised cake to our local customer in #canadawater . After that we went to @canarygarden_london to host two afternoon tea sessions and we were so excited to meet every single one of you!
After that, Winnie went to @mission__kitchen and dropped off the wedding cake @navalandmilitaryclub for the amazing couple Karen & Frenda on their big day! This is the first time we delivered a wedding cake with just one of us, which was a bit tricky. Luckily we got help from people around us, you know who you are! โค๏ธ๐ฅฐ

We have received a few queries about how to serve our Nian Gao. We think the best way to enjoy it is to pan fry both sides with a bit of vegetable oil over medium heat, though you can also dip it in beaten egg before pan frying.
