As Autumn approaches, I'm really delighted, yet slightly daunted(!), to be a part of the 5th Strawberry Hill House Flower Festival, 22-24th September, where I will be creating an autumnal window display in the Long Gallery .

As one of the UK's most sustainable Flower Festivals, I will be showcasing a display along with over 30 other designers, with sustainable floristry at the heart of our work.

I have always loved visiting the previous festivals and have felt so inspired by the creativity and originality of the installations. Please come and support the event, curated by .chappell.flowers & and kindly sponsored by . For more info, see the link in my bio.

Today I finally managed to get into the garden and gently tidy some areas. The honesty seedlings are absolutely everywhere thanks to a very enthusiastic Rose throwing the seeds with wild abandon πŸ˜…. There are many more signs that some flowers i grew from seed last year have now started self-seeding and hopefully filling gaps, hurray! I really like 's holistic approach to his wildlife garden where he chops up anything he cuts back and sprinkles it back onto the soil like a mulch. Since we don't have a compost bin, I've been doing this throughout the summer to give shelter to any wildlife we have attracted with our little pond and i'm also hoping this helps to improve our heavy London clay and stop it drying out as much during the heatwaves. I'd love to hear any other thrifty garden tips 😊

This lovely floral meadow is full of warm dahlias, hydrangea paniculata tinged pink and burgundy foliage, with all the twirls and tendrils of jasmine πŸ‚πŸŒ± foam-free and all British grown!

It's officially Autumn tomorrow and my favourite time of year for colour and different textures. There are acorns, pine cones and conkers all over the house, emptied out of Rose's pockets and her most treasured items πŸ‚This arch made for W&A celebrated the best autumnal ingredients, mostly locally grown, including rose hips, honesty seed heads, gaura, hydrangeas as they turn a soft roses pink and dahlias.

Dreaming back to this dancing Spring bouquet filled with poppies, ranunculus and honeysuckle.

We are currently away in our favourite little place in Crete after 3 years, it feels so good to be able to be here with Rose now in tow, soaking up every second. Lots of sun, sea and belly-aching laughter! Also lots of sand. Absolutely everywhere πŸ˜…

Hope everyone had a happy Bank Holiday enjoying all the Platinum Jubilee Celebrations 🍾

I've been working on some beautiful weddings for this Summer and I can't wait to get started. Rose foliage is one of my absolute favourites and it gives a lot of character and shape to larger arrangements and installations. The Wild dog roses are out in abundance and their bending arches of pale single flowers are, for me, the most beautiful. They are also the best in Winter, when they are covered in frosted hips 🌿

Cosmos are one of my favourite flowers to use in arrangements, and also the easiest to grow - the more you cut, the more flowers you get! I use them for their foliage, their buds and their delicate flowers which come in varying shades of pinks, whites and yellows. I love how they dance in arrangements and reflect the light, creating dreamy, wild and relaxed garden designs 🌸

I've just about managed to plant my cosmos seedlings in the garden and I've pinched them out which helps to encourage a more stable plant as well as even more flowers 🌱

Do you grow cosmos? What are your favourite varieties? 🌸
