The Miyazaki Dreams concert is an immersion in the fabulous atmosphere of the films of the world-famous Japanese director and Oscar winner Hayao Miyazaki. Mystery Ensemble has collected magical music from his cartoons and compositions inspired by his creations.
๐ถ The evening programme includes renowned works composed by ingenious Joe Hisaishi, including My Neighbor Totoro, the legendary movie Spirited Away, Howlโs Moving Castle, Laputa: Castle in the Sky and others. The programme also includes works by other composers inspired by Miyazakiโs artworks. Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of masterpieces by great female composers as three enterprising young musicians take the stage with a programme entitled โA Celebration of Women Composers in Classical Musicโ - directed by the irrepressible William Lui.
Experience the timeless beauty of classical music through the works of extraordinary composers. William Lui on the cello will be joined by Roxanna Shini-Mehrabzadeh on the piano and Yeva Volkava on the violin. These excellent young musicians will bring to life compositions by the Boulanger sisters, Reena Esmail and Clara Schumann, as we celebrate the brilliance of female composers in this captivating programme!
๐ป Clara Schumann was referred to as the โPaganini of the pianoโ by her contemporaries. She was one of the finest pianists of her time. Prominent figures such as Liszt, Mendelssohn, and Goethe admired her exceptional piano skills, and even Paganini himself proposed a joint performance with her.
๐ถ Nadia and Lili Boulanger were two exceptional sisters who significantly contributed to the world of classical music. Nadia was a composer, conductor, and pioneering music educator known for her influential teaching of renowned musicians. RED EVENTS, which created a series of popular concert programs based on the adventure game Genshin Impact, presents a new concert program - โGenshin Impact Symphonyโ, combining the best compositions of the freedom-loving Mondstadt and the wealthy Liyue.
Together with the musicians of the Mystery Ensemble, you will go on a musical journey through the northeastern part of Teyvat to the city of romance, dandelions and first adventures, to once again feel the spirit of celebration and freedom of Mondstadt. And in the east of the fantasy universe, among rocky mountains and stone forests, you will plunge into the colourful colours of the prosperous port city of Liyue.
The concert program โGenshin Impact Symphonyโ is based on the work of Chinese composer Yu-Peng Chen. Performed by Mystery Ensemble, the composerโs famous soundtracks take on a new, vibrant sound, creating unique images of the regions of Teyvat in the memory. The program is complemented by musical themes for characters and battle scenes unique to each location.
