This Halloween it’s 95 years since Harry Houdini died, we have hundreds of magic artefacts on display at the home of magic, you can see these when visiting one of our live shows. Today we were devastated to hear of the passing of Mark Wilson, whose work on innovating the Sawing In Half plot was featured on Sunday night's "100 Years of Sawing' anniversary. During the event, his son Greg spoke about the development of his father's "Alakazam Railroad" and showed the passion and love for magic that permeates the whole family. Mark's sad demise, following other recently passed magicians honoured in Sunday's event - Siegfried, Gerry Cottle and David Roth - have made this a truly horrendous week for magicians worldwide

Noel Britten, President of The Magic Circle said,
"On behalf of The Magic Circle, which was so proud to have Mark as an Honorary Member, I send our sincerest condolences at such a sad time. Mark’s work was groundbreaking and inspirational, and his book "The Mark Wilson Complete Course in Magic" lit the spark for so many magicians. He not only opened doors in the early days of TV, but wedged them that way so firmly that generations of magicians have benefitted from his initial foray into this medium. I know that his son Greg will hold the family torch strongly and proudly on stage. All our love to Nani, Greg and Mike and all the family."
