✨✨Cheers 🥂to my 1k followers! ✨✨

Design my date started when I found myself in new relationship in my early 40’s during the height of the pandemic, trying to find somewhere amazing to go or something fun to do (within the rules!)

I have always loved London, living life to the full and trying new places - I hate to be disappointed by bad food, service or both so always put a lot of effort into researching the best places to go.

So much so that friends and family started asking me for recommendations on a regular basis. One day a friend suggested I should use social media as place to share my recommendations far and wide…and the rest they say is history. 😊

Now I know 1k followers may not seem at lot to some, but it would fill one of the conference rooms in Central Hall Westminster and if just one couple has has a great date as result of my top tips then it’s all worth it! 🥰

Our night at OTHERWORLD was an absolute game-changer! 🌌🕹️ We stepped into our multi-sensory immersion pods and found ourselves truly transported into another world. 💫

As virtual avatars, we reunited with each other and embarked on an epic adventure in a digital theme park 🎮🏝️

The selection of VR content was incredible, with award-winning games, films, and experiences. Whether you're a VR pro or a newbie, solo or with a group, OTHERWORLD has something for everyone. Shooters, puzzles, horrors, and more. Our favourite was Half-Life: Alyx - the story of an impossible fight against a vicious alien race known as the Combine it was so realistic it took my breath away!

Rooftop Bar opens from Tuesday 1 August 2023, Tuesday - Saturday evenings. Tables must be pre-booked - choose from two sittings per evening 7.30pm or 9.30pm.

Loungers are available for walk-ins only.

Essex Eats // Sir Henry’s 🍽️

is a beautiful 13th century pub surrounded by a moat with a beautiful landscaped beer garden that serves delicious British dishes.

Yesterday was our first visit, being so local I can’t believe we haven’t been here before but we will absolutely be back!

The lamb shank and the lemon and garlic chicken special are up there with some of the best pub grub we have ever eaten! 😋
