Have you tried creating yarn from plastic bags to use for crochet or knitting?

Step 1: take one plastic bag
Step 2: cut off the handles
Step 3: cut open the bottom closed end
Step 4: cut into strips
Step 5: loop each strip together
Step 6: you should now have a long continuous piece of “plarn” plastic yarn
Step 7: start creating!!!

My next sustainable craft workshop at The Woodman on Monday 28th March at 7pm where we are going to utilise old materials and make a beautiful reusable party bunting to decorate for spring and beyond.

This bunting has a detachable panel that can be swapped out for birthday parties with numbers or letters. All materials will be provided and included in the ticket price.

You are welcome to bring along an old item of sentimental value that you can use for this project that will hang in your home forever more!

After the workshop you'll have the knowledge to go home and share your new crafts with friends and family!

About the venue: The Woodman Pub, is on the 156 bus route from Wimbledon or Wandsworth, there is a bus stop right outside the pub when coming from Wimbledon. You can also travel via Tube/District Line to Wimbledon Park and it’s a short walk to the pub.

Before, During and After the workshop there is also half price house drinks available all evening at The Woodman from 5pm until close, plus their fresh cooked to order food is available to order if you’re peckish before the workshop!
