Mad World is your very own fancy dress box. We have over 35,000 costumes for hire across our two shops in London (Old Street & Charing Cross). Mad World Fancy Dress and Costume Hire has been helping our clients dress to impress for over 30 years.
Originally based in Crawley, we have expanded to include two central London superstores located close to The City/Shoreditch and COMING SOON - Kentish Town Our dedicated team strive to ensure every costume we hire out is of the highest standard – whether for TV, theatre, promos or private parties! Our talented team of creative costume stylists are always on hand to assist you – from selecting a costume, sizing queries, styling, accessorising, small alterations and more – at no extra cost! Our attention to detail and high quality costumes set us apart from the average “fancy dress” selection available on the high street and online. Most of our costumes are unique, one off pieces – ensuring no-one else at the party will have the same! The hire collection spans across a broad range of styles and eras and we can cater to almost any theme you care to imagine, be it fantasy or reality, modern or retro, serious or silly! We have an enviable range of historically accurate period costumes, think medieval jesters, Henry VIII and his wives, elaborate Georgian gowns, Victorian gents, 1920s flappers and gangsters and much more! Our costumes are well maintained by our in house repair team, thoroughly cleaned after each hire and presented in individual suit carriers to keep them in immaculate condition. As well as our huge choice for hire, our stores also stock fancy dress and party items such as balloons, wigs, make up, costume accessories and a selection of packet costumes to buy.
