🚗What about the cake delivery? 🚗
Have you ever seen or heard of horror stories about a cake delivery that went wrong?
After all the preparation that goes into planning a celebration, the last thing you want is for the cake to be in shambles when it arrives.
Cakes are so delicate and need to be handled with care! Having that responsibility to get it there in one piece is a great one and not everything will be willing to take it on.
If anything goes wrong, would you want to be held responsible for a damaged cake?!
At STLBakes, I offer delivery as it's not just about me making your cake but you enjoying it as well, it's all about the experience!! A time slot can be arranged at a time that suits you and don't worry, you won't have to wait around all day for your cake to be delivered!
This customer absolutely loves the 80s and 90s and she certainly went over and beyond by not only ordering a themed cake from STLBakes but also dressed the part as well 😍 and ask her guest to do the same. She was definitely rocking her neo colours and bought the fun back into parties, after all fun is for all!!
What themed party do you have coming up? Are you stressing out about the planning involved?
➡️I've got a FREE party planning guide that will help you with that! Click the link in my bio and happy planning!!⬅️
Have you tried my FREE vanilla cupcake recipe but found frosting them a bit of q challenge?

Hey working mum,
Making decisions with minimum assistance is something that you've probably aced by now but have you ever had those moments when you've been indecisive?
If you have, i'm sure you'll be happy to know that you are not alone!!
If it's the decision is for your family, it may take a little longer than usually because you want it to be just right and why wouldn't you because you always give them the best!
With the road out of lockdown well and truly on its way, parties will continue to be on the rise and for some, choosing the perfect cake and assortments may be a clear and concise decision for them as they know exactly what they want but for others, some assistance may be needed to find the perfect fit.
What's your vision for your next event? Do you need some assistance to discuss something that would just right for you?
Free feel to contact me so that I can assist you further and if you haven't heard yet, bookings secured by 31st May 2021 will *get a free cake jar & personalised sugar cookie.
*Terms and conditions apply.
What things influence you when it comes to making decisions? Let me know in the comments below!
Happy Friyay!
Watching these online tutorials make things look so easy, don't they?! But sometimes doing it yourself doesn't seem as fun and as straight forward.
If I told you that some decorated cakes could take a minimum of 6 hours, would you believe me?
For some those 6 hours could include stress, tears, frustration and more.
Being a mum, you may be accustom to doing everything yourself but in some cases, delegating couldn't feel more relieving as that means you can focus on the more important things like spending time with your nearest and dearest.
What things do you like doing during family time? Let me know in the comments below!

Planning a party can be quite tedious at times, right? 😖😖
You are an organised person but there's something about planning a party that can be quite stressful! Simple tasks which should take no more than an hour to sort out somehow stretches over hours and sometimes days and weeks! 😩😩
Although some of these tasks are inevitable, if you haven't got some sort of guide or checklist in place, the task at hand sometimes feels never ending and simple things are often overlooked and by the time you realise this, it's too late!
At STLBakes, I'm all about helping to make your life that much easier because let's face it, you do so much and work around the clock 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. Having a helping hand is a rarity so when that hand is extended, grab it while it's there!
What I've created for you is a checklist for planning a party but it's more than just that, it's a guide with practical tips all throughout which can be easily be applied to any party you may be planning so whether it's a birthday or a baby shower, be sure that these tips can be easily adapted. Hall or house, these tips are transferrable.
Have you ever read something, expecting to get so much information from it but got next to none? It's amazing how sometimes people can say so much but yet say so little. Were you not able to have celebration last year due to lockdown?
Did you feel bad for breaking the bad news to your child to say that you will have to cancel their birthday party?
This was me last year and I'm sure many mums had to have the same conversation with their child/ren too. Seeing their face full of disappointment was the hardest, after all as a mum all you want to do is make them smile and to keep them safe and happy.
Fast follow to nearly a year, there has been a glimpse of hope from Boris' announcement early this week to ease the lockdown. With restrictions reducing, this means that you might be able to go that extra mile for your child's celebration to make up for last year and to remind them that you have nothing but love for them.
With parties come planning and I know this is what many people find stressful! So, what is the biggest thing you dislike the most about planning for a party? It would be interesting to know so feel free to let me know in the comments below.
Work hard play hard!
The roles and responsibilities of a mum can involve working long hours which can affect the amount of time you spend with your family and this can lead to mum guilt...
"Mum guilt is the feeling of not doing enough as a parent, not doing things right or making decisions that may mess up your kids in the long term".
-Google
Knowing and feeling like you are focussing more on your business or career than your family is one thing, but when you hear this from a family member, it can be very devastating to hear!
The reason why you do what you do is all for them! It's out of love and passion and it is to leave a legacy, to enable those doors of opportunities to open and for their needs to be met in abundance. It can be very easy to get carried away in work mode but you need to remember to take breaks, have fun and create those memories while making the most of those moments you have.
All work and no play makes Jill a dull girl. But all play and no work makes her something worse.
Remember to save this post and share it with a mum who needs that gentle reminder! ♥️
Motherhood is an absolute blessing from God but I think that slot of mums out there would agree and say that the responsibilities associated with being a mum can be pretty intense and tiring.
Motherhood is not like any other job where you'll work your contractual hours, get paid and then go about your business... There are no contractual hours in motherhood, no hourly rate and it's an on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week kind of job.
Each day comes with its own challenges and set backs where it feels like the only time you get a minute to yourself is when you go to the bathroom while praying that your name is not called for those few moments. Although there are those non-stop moments, there are also those uncontrollable laughters, warm embrace and incredible memory-making moments as well.
It's very easy to live in auto-pilot mode and continue with your daily duties through your tiredness, but it's always good to press that slow Mo button every now and again to recuperate.
With the weekend now upon us, many will grab that opportunity to rest up with both hands.
How would you be spending it? Let me know in the comments below!!
