Silver Sturgeon (50 to 550 guests), Silver Barracuda
(20 to 235 guests), Silver Darling (river taxi 1 to 12 passengers). Their private mooring, Woods Quay, based right in the very centre of London, Victoria Embankment, offers the perfect location to embark and disembark a private charter cruise through the historic Thames riverscape. The Silver Fleet's galleys offer seasonal, bespoke menus from their in-house team of chefs, and Michelin starred, Ollie Dabbous of Hide, Mayfair. All vessels can be privately viewed at Woods Quay with our sales team and an in-house event planning service is available to all clients.

Lillian kept Woods’ Silver Fleet running despite suffering the loss of her husband, Thames Waterman, Alfred to cancer, raising her children as she began the onset of Parkinson’s Disease.
The River Thames was very much a man’s world during her era and she remains a true inspiration as a female business owner.

Behind the scenes at the historic Chatham Dockyard, Kent as the Silver Barracuda arrives for her new woodwork and windows by master shipwrights.
This cathedral-like 19th century shipbuilding shed sits within a site designated by King Henry VIIII for the royal fleet shipbuilding. Charles Dickens grew up close by and wore about the sound of the first ships being built here in iron rather than wood.
The Silver Barracuda was built in Faversham, Kent by our founder Alan Woods and we carry on this tradition, keeping the Thames shipyards and trades working.
This year the Silver Barracuda’s original oak panelling is being carefully replaced by maritime craftsmen from the International Boatbuilding Training College, Lowestoft

The Silver Fleet is now powered by the alternative diesel fuel, Shell GTL derived from natural gas, which burns more cleanly than conventional crude oil-based diesel. This reduces our local central London emissions. Shell GTL is classified as non-toxic, odourless, readily biodegradable and has a low hazard rating.
We use Octopus Energy who are 100% green, with electricity only coming from renewable, sun, wind and water.
The majority of our light bulbs aboard the fleet are low energy LED.
Woods Quay is entirely lit by LED with dimmable settings.
