With over 70 years experience entertaining all, from corporate to private clients, including royalty and film stars. For over seventy years, the Woods family have slowly built their fleet of luxe 'river yachts' establishing their Thames fleet to compete within the elite list of most prestigious venues for private and corporate events in London. Silver Sturgeon (50 to 550 guests), Silver Barracuda

(20 to 235 guests), Silver Darling (river taxi 1 to 12 passengers). Their private mooring, Woods Quay, based right in the very centre of London, Victoria Embankment, offers the perfect location to embark and disembark a private charter cruise through the historic Thames riverscape. The Silver Fleet's galleys offer seasonal, bespoke menus from their in-house team of chefs, and Michelin starred, Ollie Dabbous of Hide, Mayfair. All vessels can be privately viewed at Woods Quay with our sales team and an in-house event planning service is available to all clients.

Our luxe river taxi, Silver Darling can sleekly transport up to 12 passengers seen here arriving one of our private landing spots, Tower Bridge Quay. .

Recently refurbished throughout In Gillingham, Kent. The Silver Darling remains a truly ‘London’ experience operating elegantly through the Thames tides, fitted out with black walnut and Scottish leather interior by Royal Designer to Industry, Matthew Hilton and artwork by Damien Hirst.

Our first booking over a decade ago? Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford together attending a premier at the O2. James Bond and Indiana Jones was quite an epic start…

Next up, Sir Mick Jagger from his home in Chelsea to the O2 then a return journey joined by Eric Clapton.

Since then she’s been privately chartered by Adele, Rihanna, Justin Timberlake and a host of other happy travellers.

New Year’s Eve 2024/25 aboard Silver Sturgeon with The Mayor’s Fireworks & the Illuminated River.

Cruise through London’s glistening riverscape aboard our sixty-one metre river yacht, Silver Sturgeon, and celebrate the arrival of 2025 to the chimes of Big Ben with V***e Clicquot Yellow Label Champagne

Since mid 2021, the Illuminated River artwork on all central London’s bridges from London Bridge to Lambeth Bridge, creates an ever-changing colourful light display with a unique viewpoint from the Thames. To enhance the experience of moving gently through the architectural lighting artwork by artist Leo Villereal, the tables and decks will be specially lit by candle light.

Eat, drink & make merry with a seasonal menu from small UK producers by Executive Head Chef, Marcus Cunningham, an inspired mood and dance floor mixed soundtrack with our resident DJ and matched fine wines.

Board the Silver Sturgeon at Tower Bridge Quay beside Tower Bridge, with glasses of V***e Clicquot Yellow Label Champagne on arrival and take in the panorama of London’s shimmering river banks from your dining table or the candle-lit, teak deck bar; interiors will feature sculptural winter displays and booth seats draped with soft faux fur throws.

Your delicious menu will be sleekly served – from amuse bouche to petits fours – on the main deck tables, decorated for the occasion. A Champagne toast will accompany the chimes of Big Ben at Westminster and the spectacular mayor’s fireworks, enjoyed from both our spacious open decks.

Designed and delivered by , New Balance hosted a celebration for London Marathon runners at Woods Quay with a cruise to Greenwich aboard our 61m flagship, Silver Sturgeon.

As guests journeyed through London’s riverscape to Greenwich, New Balance projected their graphics onto historic bridges.

Yesterday our private charter client wanted to create anticipation for guests at Woods Quay during the pre-lunch drinks reception so the Silver Sturgeon slowly cruised past then arriving with live music gently escaping from the River Room and the top deck beckoning. It worked brilliantly.
