In 2022 a show was cancelled while it was still in rehearsal. The idea of what the show might be created a demand for it to be left unseen.

ThisEgg's A Little Inquest Into What We Are All Doing Here makes its London debut after a critically acclaimed run at Edinburgh Fringe. On from the 11- 15 March in our assembly hall, this is not a show to miss.👀

Taking over Shoreditch Town Hall's underground space for a two-week run, Darkfield's innovative immersive experiences are consistently at the forefront of technology and theatre.

Featuring a number of their experiences in a live space for the first time, the sensory effects and 360-degree binaural sound unique to DARKFIELD's practice situates each participant at the centre of intense evolving narratives.

Headlining is ARCADE, a ‘choose-your-own-path’ experience that fully immerses players in alternate environments with no two journeys being the same.

✨DARKFIELD will be taking over our untouched basement space, The Ditch, to create an innovative immersive experience at the forefront of technology and theatre. Headlining the takeover is ARCADE - a choose-your-own-path experience that fully immerses players in alternate environments using binaural sound and sensory effects, completely in the dark. Experienced for the first time outside of DARKFIELD's signature shipping containers. 🚨 Tickets go on sale on Thursday 30 Jan at 12pm

✨Following a sell-out show at last year's Summer in The Ditch, Q***r Noise return to for a music, poetry, performance spectacular, on our Assembly Hall stage. Celebrating and platforming difference, creativity and q***rness, expect cooky storytelling and a fun-filled show.

✨International Women's Day at STH: Introduction to Bollywood Dance 💃. Led by our very own, hella talented Head of Operations, Devashree Pande, this intro workshop will be a fun-filled session that will get you on your feet and moving! Bring your friends, your nan or anyone who wants to join in the fun – no experience needed!

✨International Women's Day at STH: History TourLed by our very own, hella smart Cultural Programme Manager, Susannah Bramwell, don't miss your chance to wonder around parts of our building that are never usually open to the public, and hear stories of the extraordinary women from our 150 year history. ✨ Improbable’s annual unconventional convention, Devoted & Disgruntled, is for everyone who is passionate about making change in Theatre and the Performing Arts is turning 20 this year - and we're hosting!

✨We're hosting another STAMP Connect session, bigger and better than ever. For artists and organisations alike, come over for useful panel talks, open conversations and networking, and the opportunity to tell venues and organisations what you think and what you need.

📅 21 May

✨ And our season wouldn't be complete without, of course, our Town Hall Tea Dance. Brush off your dancing shoes and twirl around our grand Assembly Hall, stopping for a chat and a slice of cake with some friendly faces. Haven't been to one before and want to give it a go? MimeLondon continues at STH this weekend with a special workshop on 'Meaning and Movement' with Ockham's Razor.✨

We had the most wonderful time delivering our first intensive of the year as part of MimeLondon at Shoreditch Town Hall this weekend!

It was a real privilege to work with 20+ fantastic emerging artists who all brought their unique skills and diverse backgrounds to create a space that was filled with care, intrigue and playfulness.

We look forward to delivering more residencies, intensives and masterclasses over the coming year... watch this space!
