Last night, we had the absolute pleasure of catering a spectacular showcase event at the The Household Cavalry Museum and Shop partnering with the brilliant DJ for ME to create an evening filled with flavour, history, and unforgettable vibes.
Guests were welcomed with a fully stocked gin bar featuring the Horse Guards very own London Dry & Pink Gin, hand-selected wines from Majestic Wine and a show-stopping bubbly from the renowned Balfour Winery 🍾—the perfect pairing for an evening of exploration and indulgence.
As guests wandered through the museum's rich history, they were treated to a carefully curated menu of hot and cold canapés. From crowd-favorites to unique dietary-friendly creations, our mission was to ensure that every bite delivered exceptional taste and elegance.
The feedback on the flavours, presentation, and attention to dietary needs was overwhelming— we couldn’t be happier and no-one was left hungry! A big thank you to everyone involved, including our fantastic suppliers Brothers Fruit & Veg, in making the evening such a success.

Come with us as we make the most delicious classic, a short Rib of beef with a Beef Bourguignon base, for a recent East Dulwich Supper Club!
- Start with a bed of roots, nicely diced for maximum flavour
- Dust the beef with flour to help with thickening our sauce later
- Fry beef short ribs and dice in oil and butter to seal it. Separate though as it cooks at different times!
- Season and taste - always season as you go!
- Stock and red wine - lots of red wine to enhance the flavour
- Cook for a couple of hours in the oven and set aside to rest
- Serve on maple pumpkin mash and set that superb short rib of beef on top before you drizzle (chefs call it nape, which is French ‘to neck’) the sauce over the meat just before you serve!

Caramelised Button Onion Tarte Tatin is our savoury twist on this classic French pastry delight. Instead of sweet apples, our canape version features caramelised onions, which are slowly cooked until they become deliciously golden, sticky and give off a slight cinder toffee vibe. These have been a huge hit on our Autumn canape menu, and were seen at out October #EastDulwichSupperClub! They can also be made vegan! 🍃
