Due to the unprecedented effects on our business caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Fizz Pop Science will temporarily be closing down while the government restrictions are in place. Customers will be aware that the majority of our work takes place in schools, libraries holiday parks and children's party venues. We are supporting the restrictions to halt the spread of COVID-19 and therefore we will not be actively pursuing any business while the government advises against it and schools are closed.

We will be reviewing this position regularly and as soon as there is a change, we will be contacting all of our customers with further details. We will also be replying to all emails and other communications when we return so if you have a query, please send it in.

We want to take this opportunity to send our best wishes to all our customers, particularly our dedicated and hardworking teachers who have done so much to support parents and children during this crisis.

We thoroughly enjoyed our day at the wonderful Child's Hill Primary last week. Making everything from snot to poo and learning about microbes and the digestive system while we did it

We had a wonderful day with Fizz Pop Science! Brilliant workshops with Reception, Year 3 and Year 4! Our highlight was the Gross Guts session where Year 4 recreated the journey of cornflakes through our digestive system.... and made p**p! Absolutely disgusting (but we learnt so much)! Sorry about the pictures! Eeeeuw!

First woman Physics Nobel winner in 55 years

Back of the net! Congratulations Dr Strickland!

In a week that saw the suspension of a senior scientist working at Cern for making offensive comments about women physicists, it is refreshing to see the first ever female physicist winning a Nobel Prize. Women have to overcome tremendous barriers to entry in science, not least because of the lack of role models due to generations of discrimination. As parents, our role is to give our daughters the confidence that they can pursue any dream and gender is not a barrier to this.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-45655151

The 2018 Nobel Prize in Physics is awarded to a woman for only the third time since the award began.

Some great feedback today from a parent of a pupil attending one of our after-school clubs in Newham:

"Zainab hasn't stopped talking about how much fun she had and how she learnt a lot and can't wait to go again next week.

She absolutely loves you as a teacher and thinks your cool and amazing!

She really enjoyed making the sherbet and was describing to her brother how it was made and why the ingredients were used to make the fizz reaction."

It makes our job so worthwhile when we hear comments like this. Thanks to Mum, Nazia, for taking the time to let us know
🤸‍♀️🤸‍♂️🙏😀
