Thank you to everyone who took a moment to say happy birthday to me yesterday!
It was a bit of a rollercoaster day, mostly spent clearing out the final bits of our home of the last 9 years, due to our final eviction date being 8am this morning.
In a roundabout way, it's genuinely one of the best gifts I could have received. Having spent the last 2 years in limbo (since proceedings began) it feels really good to have closed that chapter and find ourselves in a position where the reset button has been hit and all that lies ahead is a horizon of opportunity to really start living!
All that aside I cannot state enough how unbelievably lucky I am to know so many wonderful people! In particular the truly amazing Cher Ricard
Cher and I had plans to go out last Saturday for a dance as part of my birthday celebrations. My initial plan was to have all the moving done before she arrived from the Southwest so we could enjoy ourselves and dance the night away.
For a variety of reasons that didn't happen and upon arrival, without prompting, she gave me a kick up the arse and did absolutely everything she possibly could (including tolerate my nonsense) to make sure the task was complete on time.
Her selfless acts of friendship and kindness over the last few days have quite simply amazed me. She's been a literal guardian angel! I'm unable to fully express and convey how eternally grateful I am for all that she has done for us with her actions.
I know you don't expect anything in return Cher but I'll be there for you as you were for us! Always! ❤️
Special thanks going to my parents too for helping out when they could, my uncles and friends for their support and my little sister for calming me during stormy patches.❤️
To my munchkins too who have shown tremendous courage and resilience, managing to stay focused on exams and performing live in a musical concert! During a prolonged period of uncertainty! ❤️
Again to everyone of you who wished me a happy birthday, it may sound daft but it does resonate with me and fills my heart with joy. ❤️
A shout out going to all the DJs and Crew that took part in Rebel Union presents Return Of The Acid Freaks last Saturday too, you helped us dance the stresses away and put on a cracking night!! ❤️
