Admiral Nelson Open Mic A fun Open Mic for all the family. Now on the first AND third Tuesdays of the month! It is a very informal atmosphere, LOTS of fun AND free!

A fun Open Mic hosted by Elaine Samuels and held on the first Tuesday of the month from 7.30pm (first one December 7th 2021). There is PA provided and performers of all abilities can get a spot to sing / play / join in with others. We also have occasional song-writing competitions and often provide high quality video footage for performers.

Here is what has happened to the bar where we held the nights! A pub has to do what it needs to survive and at least we now have 2 open mics per month at our Cross Lances Open Mic - so we can still meet and sing / jam with our friends!

Due to the lovely Admiral Nelson bar adjacent to the high street no longer being available for the open mics and the space in the main bar - with football on the large, main screens on Tuesday nights and the space beside the toilets being too small and not suitable anyway, with customers going to and from the toilets - Elaine Samuels decided that the nights would not work going forward (after the pub's Christmas meal bookings and January refurb) and will no longer be hosting them.

You don't need to miss out though! Instead, she has arranged for an EXTRA Cross Lances Open Mic - on both 2nd AND 4th Sundays of the month, from 7pm now. These open mics are run in the same way and you can meet all your open mic friends here! The Cross Lances pub is not far from the Admiral Nelson - being just up the Whitton Road towards Hounslow and then take a left at "Cross Lances Rd", after Hounslow Station. 😉

Make Music Together in Twickenham

Come and join in a fun Open Mic hosted by Elaine Samuels and held on the last Sundays of the month from 7pm. There is PA provided and performers of all abilities can get a spot to sing / play / join in with others. It is a very informal atmosphere, LOTS of fun AND free!

We pride ourselves on giving the performers and audience a good sound and lighting and have gained a good reputation on this score

Occasionally, we hold song-writing competitions, which encourage performers to write songs themselves and give a cash prize to the winner! We have a number of great singer / song-writers who regularly come along to the Open Mic and Elaine also gives song-writing lessons, as part of her job as a professional musician.
