We’re excited to announce that Signs of Spring has returned for its second year! We are teaming up with The Field Studies Council once again for this amazing citizen science project. We’ll be on the lookout for the first emerging spring indicators and need your help to track them.

Last year we had over 1,000 snowdrop sightings in the first couple of months through to the final markers in early June.

Last week we held a seasonal reception for our Parliamentary Steering Group, hosted by the Viscount Stansgate at the House of Commons, to bring together MPs and learned societies.

Engaging speeches were given by the Viscount Stansgate; Chi Onwurah MP, Chair Commons and Science, Innovation and Technology Committees; George Freeman MP, Chair APPG Parliamentary and Scientific Committee; Alan Mak MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology; and the RSB’s President Professor Sir Ian Boyd covering how parliamentarians and the science community can work and collaborate together.
