Melanie Wilson founded Prangsta Costumiers in 1998 initially to rally against the waste that she saw in the fashion industry, by collecting discarded vintage garments that are recycled into new creations. The business grew through the provision of bespoke costumes tailored for the individual and the continual expansion of the Prangsta Costumiers costume collection; often made to request (however o

utlandish and extravagant) and all available for hire. Prangsta Costumiers' shop front is in New Cross London and we have a 1500sq ft design studio in Deptford where Melanie passes on her expertise to students in her Dressmaking and Tailoring classes, as well as continuing to produce trademark costumes of brilliance in her own inimitable style.

We’re proud to announce that we’ll be dressing Secret Brunch’s entire cast for their 9th Anniversary! Saturday 18th of May, Secret Location Theme is Tribal Revival: expect theatrical performances, dancing tribes, compelling storytelling, stunning decor… all gathering in an old burnt down town hall that wouldn’t be out of place in a Game of Thrones episode. We expect this to be one of their biggest party to date. We’re currently working on a whole new line of face jewellery, armoured harnesses, fierce leather holsters and Swarovski-encrusted gas masks.
