Hello 👋🏽,

Today we’re having fun making a Bûche de Noël.

Ours is made from pumpkin sponge, blackcurrant compote, chocolate pastry cream and has goat’s cheese chantilly to balance the sweetness. She’s great dinner company and can handle guests with large appetites as well those who only like to look.

Savoury or sweet, breakfast or lunch, pancakes are always a good idea. Ours are vegan and gluten free with walnuts and blueberries. Pile on the maple syrup, berries, coconut flakes, toasted buckwheat and/or roasted almonds or anything you fancy really. We’re currently heavily into compote also. For those (crazies) trying to steer clear of maple syrup, we do a smashing blackberry and apple compote.

Börek is the ultimate all day breakfast food and can be served hot or cold, eaten at breakfast, lunch or as a late night snack.

Boreks are mainly associated with the Middle East, Armenia, and also with the former Ottoman Empire, including the Balkans and the South Caucasus, Eastern European and Central European countries, Northern Africa and Central Asia and of course North and North East London.

Our Börek has Swiss chard, spinach, watercress, wild rocket, sumac, sesame and fennel seeds and Mizithra, a Greek goat’s cheese. Whether hungover or just greedy, Börek is a friend you don’t want to share.

From a reliable Romanian source at our local garage we heard it is also happens to be breakfast of choice of our incumbent King when holidaying in Transsylvanië.

To those lining the streets on Saturday, shout ‘Börek’ if you want his attention.

Some more cuteness we made for for the lovely people at We takes care of their press days and enjoy looking after their guests inspecting beautiful high tech winter garments and shoe wear for next winter’s ski season in Aspen.

Meanwhile in E1, we’re in shorts, Bircks and white sport socks that blend in seamlessly with our arctic white ankles.
