On Tuesday 2nd July it was TT Live Sessions’ pleasure to host newcomer and soon to be huge artist, Aanya Martin.
We started the evening in our boutique cinema space at TT, with a worldwide premiere of the visuals for debut single, ‘White Doves’, which landed a few weeks back.
What a piece, shout out to the director and everyone involved, it looked and sounded so good in there and the host Zacharias involved the whole crowd really warming the place up.
After the premiere we caught some much needed air and slowly started heading into the back area of the Cellar Bar to claim a space.
Chris P Cuts set the tone with a vinyl set running through some classic Bobbi Humphrey & Gloria Ann Taylor before RnB hits from Brandy & Janet Jackson.
The stage was set and after some last minute wardrobe adjustments we were ready to go. The wonderful host Zacharias took hold of the Cellar Bar readying us for Aanya Martin.
Aanya started with an extended version of the new single ‘White Doves.’ What a record it is - a Latin-infused percussive slow mover that’s produced by TT’s good friend Santiago Morales.
Aanya was accompanied on guitar by the MVP of TT Live Sessions, Kian Cardenas (who’s been here almost as many times as Chris P!) He’s an incredible talent and a joy to watch - he can play it all! It was obvious he’s worked with Aanya extensively as they were in perfect harmony.
A massive thankyou to Aanya Martin, Kian, Santi, Zak, and everyone involved with making this performance so special, to Chris P Cuts for DJing and bringing everyone together and to @hennessy for their support of this and all our TT Live Sessions.
And of course, a big shout out to everyone who came down!
We are taking a break in August and will return to the Cellar Bar for our next TT Live Session on September 3rd with the wonderful Grace Acladna.

For this month’s TT Live Session in our intimate Cellar Bar back area we were incredibly fortunate to be joined by one of Colombia’s biggest underground Hip Hop and R&B acts, @liannamusic
Lianna’s powerful vocals took the lead, with the help of Kian Cardenas on guitar and Santiago Morales providing percussion and backing vocals. Playing to a packed out room, the trio captivated their audience with their stripped back acoustics and Lianna’s sincere performance.
A big thank you to Lianna for blessing our humble venue, as well as @cardenaskian who has proved himself to be a beast on guitar at multiple TT Live Sessions, and of course @santiagom27 , who played immaculately as always, as well as acting as go-between, translator and general fixer allowing us to connect with incredible artists despite borders and language barriers.
Thank you as well to Santi’s Bonita House Band who scored the songs (shout out Lenny) and backed Lianna, helping her to feel at home thousands of miles away, to @deejaylolita , and of course to everyone who came down to see the performance.
Lianna was among friends and there was a noticeable feeling of connection in the room, held together by Lianna’s graceful soul and music.
And of course shout to Chris P Cuts for organising and @hennessy for supporting this and all our TT Live Sessions.
Lianna is an artist with real credentials who has a career spanning years, so it’s a real privilege to host someone of her calibre at TT Live Sessions.

For this month’s guest menu in the Cellar Bar we’re showcasing Eden Mill Gin.
@edenmill are a Scottish whisky and gin distillery based on the banks of the Eden Estuary in St. Andrews. The distillery occupies a historical site that has been used to brew and distil for well over a hundred years. After a recent renovation, Eden Mill has been reborn and is now producing some of the finest whiskies and gins in the area.
We’ve picked some of our favourite expressions from Eden Mill’s range of gins for this month’s guest menu. Available until the 16th of June in our Cellar Bar, guests can try ‘Puff, The Magic Dragon’ a refreshing and balanced bittersweet drink made with Eden Mill’s Original Gin, a ‘Mill Sour’ a cucumber-spiked gin sour made with Eden Mill’s White Wine Cask-Finished Gin or a perfectly served Eden Mill G&T.

Next Tuesday is World Cognac Day! It also happens to be the first Tuesday of the month, which means it’s TT Live Sessions.
All our Live Sessions are supported by Hennessy and this month, to celebrate World Cognac Day, we’ll be hosting a special tasting early in the evening in our cinema, and giving away a bunch of Hennessy cocktails throughout the night.
Our World Cognac Day tasting will be held in the Cinema and hosted by our very own in-house cognac connoisseur @sakysale. For the price of a drink, guests will be greeted with a Hennessy cocktail on arrival, before sampling three Hennessy expressions, including the exclusive Hennessy Pure White, which we are currently the only bar in the UK to stock.
Following the tasting, we’ll be hosting June’s TT Live Session in the Cellar Bar featuring Colombian R&B and Hip Hop singer @liannamusic and hosted by TT Head of Music @chris_p_cuts. We’re celebrating this most revered of tequila-based holidays today and tomorrow with Cantina Patrón, where we’ll be serving up our perfected house Paloma and our Paloma-inspired Sgroppino ‘No Dove, No Love’ across the building, alongside Latin-inspired food pairings fresh from our kitchen and a soundtrack of world grooves from DJs and musicians playing in our Ground Floor Restaurant.

On Tuesday 2nd April we were very pleased to welcome Nottingham artist & UK legend, Cappo to a packed Cellar Bar for TT Live Sessions.
Accompanied by Supreme Eteng on the keys, Cappo introduced the new version of himself, a reimaging that radiates across his latest LP, Canon. With the opening track from the LP, Pain, he started things off by stating “This is an acoustic version of the mature Cappo. Usually I go in gung ho and that’s what I’m gonna do now, kind of two sides of myself battling, let’s see if we can make it work.”
Cappo’s wordplay shone throughout the set with tracks like Yardbird proving particularly powerful. The multilayered bars and double entendres on show helped to truly highlight the level this artist sits within some of the best lyricists this country has ever produced.
Supreme Eteng’s musical direction and keys playing was delightful throughout, showing us his talent and really showcasing the song writing and production from the project’s producer Kong The Artisan.
Visionary Hip Hop artist and Blah Records founder Lee Scott joined Cappo for the first ever performance of Badlands; be sure to check out the visual masterpiece Cappo has released with Lee for this track, shot overlooking Ratcliffe Power Station.
As an LP, Canon celebrates the Midlands and the North so it was a huge privilege that Cappo travelled with his live show down to London. The LP is a masterpiece and we don’t say that lightly.
Chris P Cuts played new and classic records either side of the live set, digging into some DJ Spinna, Citizen Kane and Declaime. The crowd were wonderful to host and Cappo had them in his palm for every word. Bags containing Cappo’s discography’s waiting to be signed accompanied some guests.
A massive thanks to everyone that came down. We’ll be back in the Cellar Bar for the next TT Live Session on May 7th with Irini Arabatzi.
