1. Remember that dress sizes are just numbers.. everywhere measures/sizes slightly differently, so don’t get too hung up on what size fits or you’ve been suggested at an appointment. Bridal wear differs greatly to high street 🙂
2. Easier said than done when shopping as part of a big group but try to avoid comparing yourself to others.. everyone has that ‘thing’ they worry about. Instead focus on your favorite features and highlight them with the dress 💃🏼
4. Try to resist ordering a smaller dress size. We hear/see it all the time, bridesmaids ordering one of even two dress sizes smaller than they currently are. It just puts unnecessary pressure on yourself! It’s better to go for the dress size you currently are & remember that alterations can help customize the fit of the dress to your body, should you need to amend the dress nearer the day 🪡
5. Surround yourself with supportive friends or family members who uplift you during the shopping process 🙌🏻

Today is judgement day, the day all of us are waiting for, how and when we will exit lockdown.. but more so for us (all those in the wedding industry) what will be said about weddings, when can they resume and resume to a number that makes it possible to open our doors again to brides and their bridesmaids.
Covid has meant our in demand appointments offering brides the perfect solution to finding their bridesmaids dresses has come to a holt and whilst there is still an online offering, with no weddings and retail closed, we have seen a 90% reduction in turnover this last year (not to mention the sudden influx of returns, which we are simply not used to).
With none, or small weddings being the only option for nearly a year now, bridesmaids have been one of the biggest casualties!
Without a roadmap to weddings with a decent capacity, bridesmaids together with the business are in serious danger.
The Wedding industry is underestimated and this pandemic has highlighted that, thankfully we have the #whataboutweddings @whataboutweddingsofficial campaign to show the government what really could be lost if we don't gain the support we need. Therefore, I do, we do and we hope you do too.. stand up for weddings.
