For the wedding breakfast, this couple chose long trestle tables under a canopy of twinkling lights, creating a magical alfresco dining atmosphere. To enhance this intimate setting, we used an abundance of bud vases filled with cascading flowers in every colour imaginable. ⁣

Hello to All the New Couples! Meet the Face Behind the Flowers 💐

After so many incredible weddings in 2024, I wanted to reintroduce myself to all the wonderful new couples finding my profile through the work I’ve been sharing from this season. So, here’s a little more about the face behind the flowers.

I’m Gemma, the founder and lead florist at Femme Petale. After years in the corporate world, I found myself craving a creative outlet. My passion for all things artistic had been lost in the grey routine of daily life, leaving little time for the creative projects I missed. Taking control of my path, I enrolled in a floristry course, and everything just clicked. Flowers slowly took over my life—and my home! It quickly became clear that floristry was my true calling.

I’m now based in Bristol, I love the energy, with its vibrant art scene and the joy of being close to the water. Most days, you’ll find me working in my studio in the countryside, surrounded by fragrant flowers, lush greenery, and my sleepy dachshund, Jasper, who’s often curled up at my feet.

I can’t wait to hear about your wedding vision and create something truly special for you!

For the table settings, we opted for high, round floral arrangements using my favourite footed Gia bowls. These sleek white vessels complemented the modern-meets-regal style Sarah and Jake envisioned. The tablescapes paired perfectly with n**e tapered candles, adding elegance and depth to the room’s overall aesthetic.⁣

For Sarah’s bouquet, we wanted a design that was as romantic as it was refined. We focused on lush, fluffy roses in soft n**e and white tones as the centrepiece of the arrangement, blending in delicate accents like zinnias, stocks, and tiny pompom dahlias. This created a dreamy, English country garden-inspired bouquet that looked effortlessly elegant and natural. The soft, flowing textures and gentle colour palette of the bouquet were a beautiful nod to Sarah’s love of timeless, Cotswold-inspired beauty.⁣

Perfect wedding flowers!⁣
⁣
We chose Femme Petale because of the modern style of her flowers, and I saw a picture on her Instagram of the exact look I was going for - toffee roses, dusty pinks and creams. Gemma did not disappoint on the day. Her designs were gorgeous and exactly what we envisioned. ⁣
⁣
Last minute, we also ordered some meadows to be placed around the bottom of the harp for the ceremony and Gemma completely understood what we were trying to achieve with the look. She also gave me some great advice when I was flapping in the week leading up to the wedding. Her portfolio of ideas that she sent over at the beginning of the process really helped me to crystallise in my mind the colour palette for the wedding. All in all a great wedding supplier. I would recommend.⁣

It’s all about the details! ⁣

At H&T’s wedding We repurposed the floral meadows from the ceremony, placing them under the table plans and next to the cake — or should I say rainbow ombré macaron tower, which looked as delicious as it sounds! As the golden hour approached and the soft evening light poured through the Gillyflower’s windows, the vibrant flowers glowed magnificently, enhancing the beauty of the room.⁣
