One of the events that has been running for decades in Welling is the 7th Welling Scout Group jumble sale at Falconwood Community Centre . They always start with a large hall full of clothes, toys, books, bric-a-brac stacked high and you see many people exiting with large bags of bargains.

2025 is the 80th Anniversary of the end of WW2. Consider marking this occasion with involvement in the Schools Program and research the contribution of those Australians who served in WW2.

We have some space available to hire in our main and small halls for group hirers.. Very reasonable hiring fees. We have a kitchen, disabled access and toilets. Baby changing facilities, a stage area in the main hall, a 22 space car park, we are on the B16 bus route. A really lovely community feel. Halls and facilities are cleaned to a high standard on a daily basis.

MAIN HALL - Monday 1 to 5.30pm
- Wednesday 1 to 3.30pm
- Thursday 11.30 to 4.30pm

SMALL HALL - Monday 9am to 1pm & 3 to 6pm
- Thursday 9am to 1pm

You may hire for 1 hour or more

Hero of the hour! Thanks Tom.
The Tree is back up and a little bit of tweeking of the lights at the top of the tree in the morning and all will be ready for our big event on Monday evening. Carols Around the Christmas Tree with the Mayor of Bexley at 7.00 for 7.30 outside Bishop Ridley Church/Falconwood Community Centre.

Falconwood Community Centre Information

Here at Falconwood Community Centre we have a large main hall which holds a maximum of 150 people. There is also a smaller hall which holds a maximum of 35 people. Both halls are available for children’s parties (the main hall allows the use of 2 bouncy castles within the hall). We also take bookings for family parties, anniversaries, quiz nights and much more.

The Community Centre provides a central focus for community involvement and participation in a full and diverse range of activities and local issues including community safety, planning, education and leisure. The Centre is a network of all-purpose and all-embracing neighbourhood organisations.

The Centre holds a host of different groups from yoga, street dancing, baby massage, creative craft, karate, bingo, art, 50+ activities, modern sequence dancing, toddler football, soft play, keep fit, slimming class and many more. We also have a resident pre-school setting.
