If this Monday feels more Monday-like than most Mondays, you're not alone.

Dubbed the saddest day of the year (albeit by a travel company with a not so hidden agenda) blue Monday falls on the third Monday of January. The weather is freezing, the celebrations of December are a distant memory, and the summer seems so very far away. But fear not. The sun may not be shining right now, but we are here to deliver a world of wonderful, comforting food to turn that frown upside down.

Just because we've upped our veggie game for Veganuary doesn't mean we've forgotten our meat-loving customers.

Offering a diverse range of appealing and tasty dishes to satisfy vegans and carnivores alike is part of the Bespoke experience.

A flavoursome hoisin chicken noodle dish packed with plenty of veggies and served alongside an umami rich, miso glazed cabbage made for a wonderful lunch at one of our sites today.

A little bit naughty, a little bit nice, but ultimately delicious. It is Friday after all.

A vibrant array of colourful dishes at one of our sites.

Different colors in fruits, vegetables, and other foods often indicates a more varied selection of vitamins and minerals. For example, red foods like tomatoes and strawberries are rich in vitamin C and lycopene, while green foods such as spinach and broccoli offer iron and folate. We have been using an incredible array of fresh vegetables this month as we fully embrace Veganuary across our sites. We are lucky to have a wonderful vegetable supplier that shares our ethos on sustainably and tackling food waste.

Angry Monk have a fabulous selection of great quality vegetables that are being saved from waste, due to size, shape, or even just because of a particularly abundant harvest. This makes them the perfect eco-friendly choice for vegans and omnivores alike.

Choosing good quality and sustainable vegetables not only benefits individual health but also supports a more resilient and sustainable food system. Good for you and the planet.

Continuing Veganuary with a delicious selection of mains and sides.

What could be more comforting in this freezing cold weather than a hearty pie? Packed full of wonderful winter vegetables and topped with a golden vegan pastry.

Or how about a vegan take on the classic stroganoff? With plenty of mushrooms and leeks, and served alongside a pilau rice crammed with fresh herbs and a selection of fresh vegetables.

Even the sides have had a vegan makeover with an umami rich miso glazed cabbage and potatoes, roasted to perfection with garlic and sesame.

As we finally say goodbye to the Christmas leftovers from the fridge and just the last of the Christmas chocolates lay forlorn at the bottom of the tub, it's time for something a little different.

Seeing as tomorrow (January 4th) is National spaghetti day, we just couldn't resist this gorgeously colourful vegan take on the classic chicken parmigiana. Freshly sliced aubergine, coated in breadcrumbs and delicately fried to a golden crisp, served on top of spaghetti with marinara sauce. The perfect comfort food for a chilly winter day.

🎄The last Christmas lunch before the big day.🎄

We've had a blast at our sites this week, with everyone coming together to create some truly delicious festive feasts for our customers. It has been a real team effort, with everyone involved in putting on a whole range of special celebrations, from fun masterclasses to wonderful Christmas lunches. With traditions from near and far, and everyone bringing their own unique talents and flair to the table, we are strong believers that we are always better together.

We don't just provide delicious lunches. Hosting fun masterclasses in the workplace is a fantastic way to foster team building. It provides an informal, relaxed environment where colleagues can bond over shared learning experiences outside the pressures of their usual work tasks.

Today's onsite event took on a festive theme with a fabulous masterclass in baking and decorating a traditional Christmas yule log.

Encouraging collaboration, improving communication, and allowing team members to connect on a personal level. These fun events also break down hierarchies, as everyone participates equally, creating a wonderfully welcoming environment that everyone can enjoy. The canteen setting makes it convenient and accessible, allowing employees to step away from their desks and bond together over new skills and delicious results.

Everyone loves a traditional Christmas, but traditions vary all over the world. Yesterday we celebrated in Romanian style at one of our sites, much to the delight of our customers.

Christmas in Romania isn't complete without the wonderfully comforting sarmale. Fermented cabbage leaves stuffed with ground meat, rice and herbs all slowly baked in a hearty and flavoursome tomato sauce.

Christmas lunch at work is that magical time when the office transforms from a place of deadlines and meetings into a festive haven filled with delicious food and cheerful chatter. It's a chance to take a break from the usual grind, indulge in holiday treats, and enjoy the company of colleagues outside of the usual work context. As everyone gathers around, there’s a sense of camaraderie in the air, as if the holiday spirit has made its way into the office, making this lunch not just about the food, but about creating memories with the team.

The mighty Kebab is always a delicious and decadent option for a satisfying lunch.

This gourmet version, courtesy of our talented executive chef Stuart, was deservedly popular today at one of our sites.

Made with both succulent lamb and juicy beef, this colorful creation was crammed full of roasted vegetables, pickled red onion and cabbage, freshly sliced cucumber and tomato, and whole host of homemade sauces, including cool tzatziki and fiery chilli, and an earthy burnt aubergine dressing.

3️⃣ Innovation in action: We launched some delicious new recipes for our Waste Not range, featuring the flavorful Dragon Egg 🥚 and a hearty, handcrafted Chicken and Ham Pie. 🥧 Reducing waste never tasted so good!
4️⃣ Menu's Health Day brought some fun foodie facts and well-deserved shout-outs to our brilliant team. 💪👩‍🍳
5️⃣ A big nod to our friends in the USA with Thanksgiving Day menus that had everyone feeling grateful and full! 🦃
6️⃣ We wrapped up the month with Francois taking the stage at the Alix Partners Annual Foodservice Growth Event, joining industry leaders like Renier Oberholzer, Ian Crabtree, and Jeremy Alderton in an inspiring panel discussion about 2025 challenges and opportunities for independent caterers.
