The festival met my expectations twice over. The organization was perfect, our teachers were amazing and so kind, all the complexities and details of the music, dance and songs were well explained and the teachers did their best to give us really good support, making sure we really understood everything.

Following IFA's predictions for Cuba and the world, we want to pay tribute in our first workshop to the divinities Eleggua and Oyá, who are the Orishas that accompany and rule in Cuba in 2024.
Eshu, also spelled Esu, is a trickster deity of the Yoruba religion, originating from southwestern Nigeria. Esu is the spirit of crossroads, thresholds of homes, markets or meeting places.
Owner of the four corners, also who represents the beginning and end of life. In the religions of the African diaspora, Esu is also called Papa Legba or Elegba.
Oyá is the Orisha of winds, sparks, whirlpools, storms and lightning, death and rebirth.
She is fierce, powerful and one of the warrior orishas of the Yoruba religion. Hey, she is a force of nature and a bringer of change.

With an impetuous character, Oyá is also very faithful and sensual, which made her Shangó's favorite wife, the only wife who remained faithful to him until the end.
