DR RICHIE JOHN ONAIWU
Receives honorary Doctorate in Leadership & Business Management from America University of Peace & Governance (AUPG), Texas, USA, and investiture as distinguished Fellow (FCIPG) of the Chartered Institute of Peace and Governance (CIPG) on 9th of March 2024.
RICHIE John Onaiwu, CEO of RichieRich Global Group of companies, received an honorary doctorate from America University of Peace and Governance in Leadership and Business Management and investiture as distinguished Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Peace and Governance, Texas, USA. As Chair of RichieRich Global Group of companies, Dr. Richie collaborates closely with local authorities in tackling homelessness, real estate, provision of supported healthcare facilities and has established his roots within his local community which creates job opportunities and pioneered the career of several Nigerians in entertainment on the international platform, helping to enhance their career pathways. He received his honorary doctorate in Leadership and Business Management conferred by Professor Kevin Nwanna Uchechukwa at the 13th Edition of the PAN African Leadership Symposium & Honours and investiture as a distinguished Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Peace and Governance by H.E. Ambassador Dr. Johnathan Ojadeh; Global President & Chairman Supreme Council, UNIPGC – the scheduled destination ceremony which took place on 9th March in Kigali, Rwanda, saw other notable esteemed leaders in different fields including H.E Dr. Morie Komba Manye; the High Commissioner for Sierra Leone to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, Major General Dayo Olukoju (retired) who were also investiture as Fellows. Also in attendance, were co-Fellows Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu; APC National vice Chairman, South East Nigeria, Prof. Ephantus M. Kariuki, Dr. Agnes Nyirankera and other notable attendees from the United Nations and other organizations.
The UNIPGC and CIPG honorary doctorate and fellowship investiture is awarded to those who have contributed profoundly to the progress of leadership and the promotion of peace. Upon receiving his honorary doctorate and fellowship during the ceremony,
Dr. Richie said: ‘
’I am proud to receive this conferment from America University of Peace & Governance and the Chartered Institute of Peace and Governance- it is an enormous honour.
I have a deep affinity with exemplary leadership as an immigrant in diaspora, having lived in areas that required a strong promotion of community support.
It has been a great privilege collaborating with governmental authorities in tackling issues in areas on homelessness prevention, contributing to an improved living within communities that closely affects Africans in diaspora.
He also urged other honourees to promote the vision of the Chartered Institute of Peace and Governance (CIPG) and the United Nations International Peace and Governance council (UNIPGC)
He said: ‘’ Until exemplary leadership is seen as an individual responsibility to inspire those in a position of weakness, the promotion for peace that changes the narrative of effective governance and the ex*****on of sustainable changes, the role of a leader has not yet been attained.
The ceremony ended with a gala dinner night and a tour of the city of Kigali, where they visited amongst many, the genocide memorial site.
