Always good to get out on a site visit – and this time I was stepping in for Alex at fabriclondon ahead of an event there on 10th September.

After more than 30 years in events, I still enjoy walking into a venue and working out how everything is going to come together in practice – access, logistics, installation and all those little details that can make such a difference on the day.

Site visit done, notes handed over and Alex will be taking the lead from here.

Taking remote working rather literally, Alex… 👀

Our Head of Projects swapped the laptop for a quick lunchtime walk and a rather spectacular view – accompanied, of course, by his two extremely helpful assistants. 🐶🐶

Alex is at the heart of so much of what we do – from planning and problem-solving to working directly with our clients and making sure everything comes together as it should.

Not a bad spot to clear the head before getting back to it! Are we jealous? Nooooo… 😂

📍 We're loving seeing more events head north!

London will always be a key destination for exhibitions and conferences, but it's exciting to see more clients choosing to host events in vibrant cities like Birmingham, Liverpool and Manchester too.

There are some fantastic venues and event spaces to discover, and Alex recently joined one of our long-standing clients on a tour of potential venues, looking at everything from delegate flow and stand layouts to logistics and installation. The more planning we can do upfront, the smoother event day becomes.

We're always excited to explore new venues and support our clients wherever their events take us.

What a few months it's been!

With one of our busiest periods now (mostly) behind us, it felt like the perfect excuse to get everyone together for a well-earned BBQ at James' garden.

It's been a hectic run of events, long days and plenty of miles on the road - but our team has taken it all in their stride. Their hard work, commitment and willingness to go the extra mile is what keeps everything running so smoothly, We're lucky to have such a fantastic team.

A huge thank you to you all and hopefully things ease off a little over the summer, giving everyone the chance to recharge before we do it all again later in the year!

👀 "What do you want to be when you grow up?”

A big question – and one that the students at Esher C of E High School have been exploring as part of their careers programme.

James was delighted to attend their careers fair yesterday, joining lots of local businesses and organisations to help inspire students to think about the many different paths open to them.

With a career in the events industry spanning more than 30 years, James was able to share advice and insights across a range of specialities, tailoring conversations to the students' own interests and ambitions.

The events world is full of opportunities that many people don't even realise exist – from design and logistics to project management, sales, marketing and installation.

A great day, some brilliant conversations, and hopefully a little inspiration for the next generation. 😊

That's exactly why we're such passionate advocates of lightboxes. These glowing beacons of professionalism attract attention and draw people in quicker than even the most enthusiastic of reps.

👀 One of those behind-the-scenes jobs that nobody sees on event day…

Sammy is busy checking a client’s graphics to make sure they’re in perfect condition before we begin pre-build for an event in July.

It’s one of many checks we make before an event – helping to minimise surprises, keep installations running smoothly, and give everyone confidence that the stand will look exactly as it should when it arrives on-site.

The little details matter. Luckily, we've got people who care about them. 👌
