Sustainability is interwoven into our ethos, with every decision we make informed by the National Theatre's Environmental Policy.

In order to achieve a sustainable journey from farm to plate, our menus use a minimum of 80% British seasonal fruit and vegetables, and feature sustainable fish stock and high-welfare British poultry and pork.

We have also taken a plant-forward approach to menu design, with a quarter of our offering now plant-based.

Yes, we offer all the usual catering options (think classic canapés and 3-course fine dining), but having three of London’s best street-food traders downstairs in The Understudy means we can take your event to the next level when it comes to food.

Back in January, we hosted over 70 guests from , where all three of our traders served a course each! served up fluffy Sicilian pizza slices 🍕, with Nashville sliders 🍔, and dished up their tasty thalis 🍛 - it’s fair to say it all went down a treat with guests.💥

Not only that, but our traders also spoke about their rise from inKERBator markets to in-house residencies at the National Theatre - talk about a proud moment!
