Happy
Tu BiShvat is a Jewish holiday occurring on the 15th day of the Hebrew month of Shevat.
It is also called Rosh HaShanah La’Ilanot, literally “New Year of the Trees”. The day is celebrated as an ecological awareness day, and trees are planted in celebration in Israel often in the name of loved ones.
We celebrate life of the world and of the nature!

Last night I had one of the most uplifting experiences since October 7th. Weeks after the release of some hostages where a real circus that makes most of the people of my community sick is happening every week and that the whole world is watching as if it was a kind of new big brother’s series.

If you are Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist or Atheist, try to go to events! It will just bring joy, happiness, a belief in humanity!

A stone that never leaves my purse.
A stone from Aushwitz I visited in 2019.
A stone to remind me that I am alive despite being born Jewish and that I should be strong everyday.
A stone to build our homes and rebuild ourselves and build our resilience against hate and haters.
A stone to remind me that I was lucky to be born Sephardi as my family originated from Tunisia,
A stone to remind me that I left one city and country where I was born, Paris, France, to another city and country, London, England, to build a family and give birth to three beautiful children.
A stone to remind the world that it should never happen again.
A stone to remind me that if the haters are given the opportunity to allow more hate against us, I have another home and country to live in, Israel!

Is that what your left overs from Friday night dinner look like? I hate throwing food away, always being grateful of what I have and can eat everyday, healthy, nutritious, sometimes a bit naughty but always giving me strength for my body and my soul!

One of what my mother taught me well is to always use your leftovers before making something new!
She taught me to open my fridge and my cupboards and create something exciting, nutritious, tasty, from what you already have at home!
I’ll be eternally grateful for this!

When it’s too cold outside to go out, some clever people call me to organise a cooking lesson on a Sunday!
Chicken and vegetables soup, sweet and sour chicken with sweet and sour vegetables stew, sticky rice, apple and rhubarb crumble! Two/three days worth of food, so no need to rush after work to prepare dinner for the next two days!

Everything from scratch: cut up cucumber, real roasted potatoes, chicken schnitzels, fruits kebabs, number 11 birthday cake, one chocolate one vanilla, cinnamon verre with and sweets!!!

Last night I had the pleasure of being invited to do a cooking demonstration for in front of 20 women who are in the process of getting divorced or are already divorced.

This wonderful Jewish charity supports families, women, men and children of divorced parents in helping them to deal in many aspects with this painful event of their lives chosen or not.

The atmosphere was so beautiful, happy, emotional and the food delicious (quoting guest obviously 😁) ! Was so heartwarming to meet so many great powerful wonderful women of all ages ❤️❤️❤️ thank you for having me!!!

Last night, while the world was going …
I had the chance to see the sold out play written by from a story by

The moving and heartbreaking story of an Iranian woman forced to flee her country alone, leaving everything and everyone she loves behind, because of an abusive husband. A play that resonates so much, a story of resilience, courage and hope, but also a story of food for the soul of how it takes you back where you’d want to be and how it brings people together.
I thought so much about life, my family, my mother that I miss always and more as we approach the High holidays of Jewish New Year.
