Your top table doesn't have to be long, straight and in the middle of the room - other popular options are a sweetheart table for just the newlyweds, or an intimate round table positioned strategically so you can see everyone AND everyone can see you.

Variables such as the size of your room, number of guest tables, spread of the dancefloor and doorways, bar positioning and band set up can all affect how your top table is ultimately styled, so keep an open mind and have it the way it suits you best.

Getting Ready ✨

When choosing where you'll both get ready on the morning of your wedding, consider:

good lighting for hair and make up
the size of the room, if you want your wedding party to join you or have a large dress
your route to your ceremony - ensure you won't cross paths!

Our lovely Katie and Tom got ready at their hotel, and Team Elegante skilfully ensured they were kept out of sight from each other until the perfect moment!

We are one week into October already, which means it's time for me to bring out these fabulous images again 🎃

Candy and Sam's Halloween wedding at was filled with thrills (not of the scary variety!), and styled in keeping with the moody gothic style of the venue.

Celestial patterns, witchy 'potions' and a mysteriously magical colour scheme were the order of the day, and even the band and waiting staff got involved with painted faces...OK, I did too!

This week I'm attending @amourforums in Sardinia ☀️ I affectionately refer to Amour as 'speed dating for wedding planners', because it's an opportunity for us to meet one-to-one with new wedding venues from around the world. I have about 40 meetings scheduled, mostly with Italian and European venues. It's events like this that allow us to say that destination venue searches for our couples are so much more than just Google searches - they are based on real relationships we have curated in various countries. This time, we're being hosted at Forte Village for 3 nights and, when we're not on our venue 'dates', it's a fantastic chance to network with industry colleagues and share new experiences. It all kicks off tomorrow, and I can't wait to share some of Sardinia with you and eventually introduce my couples to exciting new venue options. Who wants to come along?
