🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄It’s time to finally get a Christmas wreath on the grid 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄😆

A little reminder for anyone who would like to join our wreath making workshops - they are all up online (selling out pretty fast so be quick and grab a ticket💨)

👉Useful info - all of our wreaths are made by us in the studio using beautifully handcrafted willow rings that can be used over and over again.
If you attended one of our workshops last year or ordered a wreath with us, you can bring your base back and we will give you £5 off your ticket or a voucher you can spend in the shop🎅🏻
All materials we use are free from chemicals such as bleach and dye and all our wreaths are fully compostable👌

In this workshop, you will learn some of the ancient traditional techniques of willow weaving to create your basket. The perfect fusion of function and decoration for your home.

We have had a super busy Summer and have realised we need some help with the overall running of our business. We are now looking for a Full - Time Floral Studio Assistant focusing on the event and plant side of our growing team.

At Borrowed Light Floral Studio we are a team of botanical enthusiasts, passionate about creating and delivering great events using plants and flowers. We are dedicated to sustainability and constantly learning and developing ideas and practices.

Since we opened our shop doors in 2019 we have been keen to share this passion and our knowledge. We now install and maintain planted designs across London and we are looking for the right person to help us maintain these and assist in our Walthamstow studio.

🌱This role involves:

Wedding and event management: client meetings, proposals, ordering, budgeting and event ex*****on
Event support: assisting on larger events and workshops
Plant contract management: Visiting each of our London sites to maintain the displays and ensure they look good, liaising with the clients
Support in the Borrowed Light retail shop

🌱We are looking for:
At least three years of experience in floristry, preferably event work
A basic knowledge of plant care is essential
A Driving license (essential)
A suitable candidate will be comfortable working at height
Good communication and organisational skills (essential)
Must enjoy working as part of a team
A passion for flowers and plants (and biscuits)
Contract length 1 year minimum
Must be willing to work weekends
Previous retail experience desirable but not necessary

About Us

We met in 2010, working together as florists in Central London. We have over 30 years experience in the floral industry between us. Claudia trained in Germany and has worked in central London for 5 star hotels, creating designs for celebrities and Royal families.

Sarah has a background in the Art industry, having trained as a curator and worked on large scale installations for galleries. Inspired by her great grandmother, who had been a botanist at Kew, she re–trained as a florist and has been working with plants and flowers ever since.

We relish good design, constantly looking for sources of inspiration, stretching from art to the great outdoors, all of which feeds into our work.

Favouring British grown flora and eco friendly products, we create high quality and impactful designs in a sustainable way. We also grow some of our own flowers and foliage on our allotment.
