Over 170 new colleagues in 18 months! The team effort to reinstate our clients’ workplace catering & reception services, alongside opening new contracts, deserved a big celebration.

Christian leads our teams across the business to continually provide exceptional food and service. Previously, he delivered memorable hospitality experiences in some prestigious venues, including McLaren's head office.

With a strong culinary background in five-star hotels such as Ritz Carlton Barcelona, the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park and the Dorchester Collection, Christian is well placed to drive excellence and innovation.

🍆🥦🌮We’ve teamed up with Dorota Cloke, a qualified nutritionist to inspire our diners through workshops and guided menus to eat well at work and at home and complement our clients’ programmes.

Dorota is a member of Royal Society for Public Health, a weight management specialist and a wellness coach and as our partner, she'll will raise awareness about medicinal properties of healthy eating, share insight on adaptogens and nootropics and provide workplace sessions on planning balanced weekly meals, home hacks on nutrition as well as on benefits of intermittent fasting. Bespoke workshops will also be developed across Bennett Hay’s estates to offer nutritional guidance for employees with specific needs including women in menopause, people with health concerns and those physically active.

Join us as General Manager at an exciting new opening near Liverpool Street Station.

This is a fantastic environment - a newly refitted office space, set over three floors, with a client who is creating a workspace that their 1,700 employees will be excited to return to, with a wellness centre, micro-market, modern cafe, pop-ups, auditorium, hospitality & events.


The Opportunity
As General Manager for this new contract, you will be able to build your team and the service from scratch - it will be challenging, but you will be supported by your experienced colleagues from across Bennett Hay.

The Executive chef and development chef - to create exciting new menus.
HR & Wellbeing team - to support you with recruitment, training and colleague engagement.
Marketing & Media - to help you promote the offer, drive sales and build guest engagement.
As one of the few remaining independent caterers in London, we will give you progression and a working environment where you are empowered to make a difference to your guests and your team.

The package

£44k per annum
23 days holiday (rising to 24, then 25 with years of service) plus public holidays
Full benefits package including - pension, life assurance, health plan, cycle to work scheme, gym membership, high street discounts etc.
A working environment that puts people first - guests and colleagues.

What are we looking for in our General Manager?

This is a big role, with a significant client for our business - you must have proven experience working at a senior management level within contract catering.

You will have a can-do attitude - be able to use initiative to get things done, roll up your sleeves where necessary; this is a new contract, and there will be learning along the way.

Commercial and financial acumen is essential - you will be comfortable with spreadsheets, figures, and techniques to maximise revenue.

We are a people business - you must have a modern, positive approach to leading and developing your team.
