Beauty is a funny concept: subjective and transient, with a tendency to always have stigmas growing around it.

Weddings are just the same. They are often associated with perfection, creating lots of uncertainty and anxiety in brides-to-be. And while it’s true for almost every single person, it’s particularly harder on those who are not represented nearly enough.

With this shoot, we aimed to show the beauty that shines through each and every girl who gracefully joined us for the day. They are strong, and they are loving. They are the heroines of their lives.

It’s mid-week and I feel like I need flowers in my life. While I’m on my way to pick up some (sadly not from for now), I reminisce about this table. Garden flowers AND floral napkins? Why not! As much as I support less is more approach, sometimes a proper statement needs to be done. Then I choose a neutral linen canvas, plain artisanal ceramics, and we load these with blooms that take away your breath 🤍

The world of weddings, just like any other creative field is bound to get through stages of different trends. Colours of the year, design trend predictions in magazines, constant flow of wedding publications in theme blogs… While all of these are working stepping stones towards figuring out what style of wedding you are after, I always advice against relying on ‘trends’ too much. Instead, I prefer a personal and deeply introspective approach.

Trends can be fleeting and pass before you realise it. Unlike a super trendy item of clothing, which you can later resell, repurpose or recycle, your feelings and memories from your wedding day will stay with you forever. Between a momentary trend crush and a deeply considered aesthetic reflecting your story — which do you want to remember?

Indeed, to find and understand your true wishes is harder than recreate a well-tested recipe. Yet I am proud of my ability to tune into my clients essences, — and create something truly unique for each of them 🤍

COORDINATION & STYLING CALENDAR OPEN

This summer is flying fast! I’ve got to say that I wasn’t quite ready for the life to pick up so fast, and it seems like wedding world has finally fully woken up. I feel really lucky to work with amazing couples this year and next, and I’m really excited for the events coming up in 2022 🤍

As we’re seen a surge of wedding requests and I know it’s hard to book a planner and coordinator now, I’ve decided to open on a few coordination spots for the next few months. Whereas I usually prefer a serpent more long-term collaborations with full planning, I would love to help more people to get their dream weddings this year.

With that in mind, I wanted to share a little more about the way this process works.

• My discovery consultation is absolutely free and usually lasts 30-40 minutes via Zoom. If you’re still struggling with the idea of hiring a planner/stylist, or want to see whether we are a good fit for each other — this is a great opportunity to discuss all your ideas and see how I can help you with your dream celebration.

• You can book the discovery call through my DMs here, by sending an email or filling out the form on my site (link in bio). We will then confirm a date and time that works for you, and I will send you a short questionnaire to complete prior to the meeting, so I have the essential info to work with.

• During the call we start by you sharing your story and plans, and I run through any essential questions, so that I can create the best possible proposal for you. This is a perfect chance for you to ask any questions you might have (however big or small they might be!).

Following our call I then create a customised proposal that outlines my services and includes my fee quote. No two weddings are the same, and your requirements can be absolutely unique, so this level of individual work is essential.

I love that women can feel stylish and comfortable and glamourous and sexy and anything else they want to feel, and the choice is there. I love the times we live in. These are times to celebrate 🤍

THE ART OF FLEXIBLE PLANNING

I see many couples who think that to organise a perfect wedding they need to plan at least a year in advance. Indeed, the average wedding planning time is 12-14 months. However, it’s not really a rule set in stone, and if last year and a half taught us anything — it’s that we have to think quickly and adapt to the ever-changing world.

So, if like many of us, you’re tired of waiting, and want to throw a stellar celebration in the remaining time of 2021, I am totally with you! Whether it is a local party in London, or a destination get together in sunny Spain, it’s possible and it’s real. Just a few things to consider:

A. Be flexible with dates. Don’t expect you can land a weekend at a popular venue, instead focus on Sundays and weekdays. Venues will also appreciate that and might be flexible with their policies and rates.

B. Get a professional help. Trust me when I tell you that having a planner by your side is priceless. Especially when things need to move fast. Your planner will know who to contact and where to look for the best vendors, as well as be invaluable support system in times where unexpected things can happen at anytime.

C. Relax. Wedding should be a celebration of life and love, and you’ve got to enjoy it, in preparation and on the day. Is it worth being stressed out about any details that in the end are only a part of the day? No. It’s going to be your day, and it’s going to be great. So take a breath, pour a glass of bubbly, and enjoy the ride! 🙌🏼

PLACES TO GO TO

Searching for unique venues, hotels, villas — is kind of my hobby. I can spend hours and hours going through listings on hotel search sites or gorgeous photos on Instagram, curating my own selection of places to stay at, or organise an event at.

This is also one of the reasons I focus so much on destination weddings. I know it might feel like travel is so complicated at the moment, but it certainly won’t be so forever. It’s slowly returning to our lives, and I have events lined up in Spain, Greece and Italy in 2022 already. And I know a lot of most popular venues around Europe have been booked full for the next year. So if you’re still debating whether to thrown a destination wedding — stop doubting. After everything the world has thrown at us in the past year — you deserve to celebrate your wedding the way you want, in a place that makes you feel excited.

Drawing inspiration from this interior design gem 🤍

Venue is always the starting point for any event design. Far from bring a blank canvas, it speaks to you and your guests the moment you arrive, before you get to see any decor or try a thoughtfully curated menu.

It’s the decision you need to make early on, as most great venues are high in demand and get booked at least a year in advance — the biggest reason why wedding planning takes on average 12-18 months.

As an avid traveller, I curate the list of dream wedding venues everywhere I go (or want to go!). We’re extremely lucky in the UK to have access to some of the most discerning designer places in the world — whether it is a historical countryside estate, or a modern interior design gem in London.

Oftentimes I see people get so focused on the planning process and ultimately the wedding day being perfect, that they completely forget to enjoy their engagement period.

Yet this time is so precious every moment of it should be savoured. There’s a special tenderness and magic of being in engaged status — it’s fleeting and temporary.

I am a strong advocate for making this time fully devoted to you, as a person and as a couple. Go on dates, get creative, travel, laugh, get silly together. Explore and listen to each other more. Celebrate YOURSELF.
