Thank you to our Queens Park & Maida Vale MP for coming to visit our ‘Blossoming’ Exhibition locally on Friday and buying my photography portrait taken in 2017 as official Photographer for Women’s March London. This was my very first protest work that started my passion working with many other charities and grassroots movements and my work in Together We Rise book by US travelling to in NY for the book launch. And I’m still here taking protest photography and working hard on all fronts.

It was great to connect and sharing stories and conversations. 😀

The exhibition is still open from 11.30 today where you can see my work alongside other 3 female artists 😀

Delighted when asked me to contribute my protest photography to spread awareness along with other photographers. I’m not at Glastonbury and actually have never been but really pleased to share my work with the hundreds of thousands that will attend the exhibitions.

It’s my birthday today and I’m 54. ❤️💪🏾❤️

I did my usual going to bed early and getting up at 1am whereby I reflected in the dark with laptop open on one single image. Thinking and resting.

My birthday runs after my protest work at the weekend and other opportunities that present which I just say ‘Yes’ to. Even I don’t know how I cram so much in, but adversity has made me strong and in God there are no mistakes. Just lessons and opportunities to learn more, test yourself more. Give More

Thank you to my community here, all of your likes, supports and follows. Many new followers have watched me cook on on TV crazy delicious show for on Brunch Episode. Cooking inventively just food what is in the cupboard and not having £ to waste with love and attention inspired by my heritage. 🙏🏿 I hope to inspire others to cook more as a homecook and now chef and food writer, exploring and enjoying along the way, always taking pictures with my food handle on IS.

I aim to continue learning more about photography and take better pictures for a very long time, hopefully spreading joy on the way with my son

I was very honoured to photograph, meet and hear the words of Farah Naz, Aunt of the beautiful light who was brutally murdered on the streets of London.

Families who cannot properly grieve whilst having to find the strength to fight these injustices publicly having lost their relatives innocent lives. They do it for justice, but for us, so whilst we witness their grief and injustice for their loved ones, they fight so we and our loved ones can walk and live in safety. It’s hard. Very hard. Knowing what her Neice went through, an innocent young girl and family are going through, and yet learning and hearing her moving words.

Thank you for the spaces you create to make women and girls safe with your activism and campaigning over 15 years. Thank you Farah Naz. 🙏🏿🖤

Always fighting for women all over the world tirelessly campaigning for an end to all male violence - institutionalised police violence and domestic violence.

My work continues working with these Activists, and it was as ever inspiring and sad at the same time as here we are time and time again, protesting with more deaths and injustice. Good to see familiar faces and missed some too. Incredible work by Women Warrier Army for all women worldwide.

When I took this shot I do had the tingles ‘photography term’ as Laura reminded me of a black and white Ashley Graham with her iconic beauty, sexiness and joy and poise.

Presenting, interviewing, modelling and raising awareness through her activism about disability and inclusivity, she is a force. It was a pleasure meeting her, adorned by and watching her catwalk — boy can she walk, in those amazing heels.

Women’s March London

I volunteered as Official Photographer alongside other ordinary female activists doing our daily jobs, making up WML bringing together people through imaginative protests in London against facism and racism. At the time heralded by Trump, but in reality seeps through every institution and neighbourhood.

is a force. Death threats become commonplace when you speak out, refuse to be silenced. For adult and children who look different and are different alike. More so when black and female, hate delivered through messages and letterboxes.

I worked as official photographer for Women’s March from 2017 to 2020 when they disbanded in London. A group of activists uniting women and people worldwide against racism and facisim heralded by Trump, but pervasive in all elements of society and institutions.

is a force. Death threats are sadly a part of life for those who speak out, who are different, not only seen in politics now but with real consequences when ignored, adult and children alike.

Love on the Streets. Queens Park, Salusbury Road 2019.

In beautiful black and white or glorious colour.

It’s always there, brazenly in the sunshine and in quiet doorways behind closed doors within shadows. It’s a big arm around you that says “C’mon over here”, it’s in the uncontrollable giggles of tickled armpits and feet. It’s the smile you smile looking at this picture and feeling the radiance of love that shines through. But the absence of it brings deep tears, wants us want to love more, remembering those times that cannot come back.

I find love in the gestures of others, a plate nudged towards me, a scoop too full. But more important freedom, equality, living conditions, economic stability and fair wages and spaces to breathe and to think for ourselves, appreciating others with the same kindness.

I remember distant words of Kilbran The Phrophet saying love and loss walk side by side, in life as in nature. I wish you all love, nothing more just love which is love which loves.

I completely cannot believe I won. To see my work used for good as I have been photographing for such a long time means a lot. I work independently for grass roots movements. I take pictures of humanity highlighting injustices showing compassion.
