Hi everyone,

I'm Special Events Coordinator for D'Oyly Carte Island and Eyot House in Weybridge, former home of Richard D’Oyly Carte.

"A La Carte"

Introducing a live stream event using Dolby Technology on Saturday 24th June 2023!

"A La Carte" is a miscellany of Gilbert & Sullivan favourites, linked by extracts from diary entries, correspondence, and contemporary reviews. Five Royal Opera Company performers, accompanied by a Sullivan’s Grand Piano, perform live from the ballroom of Eyot House on the exclusive D’Oyly Carte Island, West London.

The Live Stream includes a virtual tour of the house to see significant items from the Gilbert & Sullivan Museum.

Brilliant (work in progress..) illustration by the super talented ! It's unfinished, half done according to lovely Georgina, but we love it already and can't wait to see the finished artwork.

Georgina will be visiting D'Oyly Carte Island in the coming weeks to see and feel the magic of the island up close & get inspiration for the rest of the piece.

We always love seeing artwork inspired by the island and Eyot House, so please do send/tag us in your wonderful art.

We are hoping to display and showcase the work of local artists at Eyot House one day soon. 🎨

'The bridge to D'Oyly Carte' by Walton Art Club

Walton Art Club's beautiful entry to the Art Club Challenge is titled 'The bridge to D'Oyly Carte', inspired by the island and Eyot House. The club meets nearby every Wednesday evening.

The club was founded in 1960 to enable people to enjoy art in a friendly & sociable atmosphere.

This was done from a photograph but in black and white, so they didn't know the exact colours but could concentrate instead on tone. 34 members took part.

We think this is stunning.
Thank you
