Another gorgeous scented seasonal bouquet featuring O’hara roses which have the most incredible scent, sweet peas and eucalyptus. Also my favourite Hanoi Rananculus.

Slowly the flowers in the market are changing with the seasons, each month new varieties will appear and I am here for it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This gorgeous April wedding was held on the family’s field where the couple got married under the most beautiful old oak tree at the top of the hill. Scroll across to see how we created a focal point around the tree with floral columns.

March is here and we are beginning to move out of the slow hibernation of winter, the sun is encouraging us to get outside, and the daffodils are starting to pop their heads up out of the earth. The classic white wedding bouquet.

Perfect for any setting and venue.

Can be kept simple and elegant with just roses, fluffy and romantic with peonies or relaxed and textured with mixed white flowers and foliage.

Floral Friday 🌸🌺🌸

I just saw the lovely post about Floral Friday and it reminded me it used to be a thing.

Before reels and trending audio we used to post pretty pictures of flowers on a Friday. No agenda apart from to fill our feeds with flowers.

The beauty that is a spring wedding bouquet.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This bouquet came together at the perfect season cross over when the rananculus were preparing their exit and the peonies and sweet peas were ready to jump into centre stage
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The delicate bleeding hearts weren’t part of the original plan, but the moment I spotted them at the market, I knew I had to include them to add the extra special detail.

That’s the beauty of what I do. Being given a brief and a colour palette and being trusted to create and design with the best seasonal flowers is my idea of heaven.

Smell the roses (and freesias, peonies, wax flower, eucalyptus) 🌸🌸
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Nothing beats the smell of fresh flowers. Especially English garden roses - they evoke memories of summers as a child making rose perfume from the roses in the garden. Remember doing that?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Not all flowers have a scent these days but I try and add ones that do and if there aren’t any that fit your brief and allergies aside - a sprig of rosemary, mint or eucalyptus foliage usually does the trick.

Counting the days till the sweet peas are back in the market and that first heavenly sniff. It’s one of my favourite times of the year!

On Sunday 23rd February are having an Open Day and I will be decorating the Mulberry Room with lots of floral lushness to inspire you.

Classic blue and white wedding bouquet for a gorgeous wedding where they have the perfect windows for my bouquet photos.

I’ve just sent the final confirmation for one of my weddings in March. At another gorgeous central London wedding venue. They are taking the classics soft blue and white theme and adding in some soft yellow for a fresh spring look and I am already getting excited about getting my hands on the flowers for it.

Sometimes you just need a burst of delphiniums 💙🩵
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I love working with the space you have and designing the flowers to complement it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
No point putting an arch in place if the background is all wrong and cluttered. The flowers need to shine in their space not compete with it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Most of the time I will know your venue but if I haven’t worked there recently or before I will recommend a venue visit once you have booked and paid the deposit.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We will walk round the venue and check that the wedding flowers we have discussed work in the space and see if there are any places we have overlooked that are crying out for flowers.

A venue visit will help you visualise your day and bring your proposal to life ahead of your wedding day.

Bouquet In The Window Sunday 🍑
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Today I am shining the spot light on peach wedding bouquets featuring my absolutely favourite rose Juliet by
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Other flowers may come and go but the Juliet rose has been my true love from the very early days of being a florist.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In my opinion Juliet is the perfect peach roses for a wedding bouquet.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Mix it with soft blush pinks and creams or blues for a soft pastel look.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
With pops of bright pinks and oranges for a more vibrant look.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
With burnt oranges and burgundy’s for a mellow autumnal look

Or my preference would be to keep it simple just the roses tied with a silk ribbon. Nothing more nothing less but i haven’t done that for anyone yet …..

Urn Arrangements

You know I love an urn arrangement. They are perfect for your wedding ceremony and can be moved from the church to the venue or with in your venue from the ceremony room to the wedding breakfast.

I am always happy to discuss how we can move the flowers from the ceremony and logistics and timings permitting we will do the moving whilst you are all enjoying a drinks reception. We will always try and be as discrete as possible so your guests don’t notice - like little flower fairies with lots of muscle.

Statement Florals v. lots of small pieces

Budget permitting I would always advise statement florals over lots of small pieces. Think quality over quantity

Things to think about when planning your wedding flowers and flower budget .

🌱Don’t try and spread your flower budget over too many items.

🌱Work out what is important to you and what is nice to have.

🌱Don’t get caught up in Pinterest weddings if you are not comfortable with spending that much on flowers

🌱Be happy to remove things from the list so you can have the things your truly want

🌱Ask your florist to make suggestions to what would work best in the venue for your budget.

Come and see one of my favourite summer weddings. An intimate wedding set in a private garden for a gorgeous flower loving family. Floral columns of mixed summer flowers greeted the guest into the marquee. Where the tables were decorated with pretty meadows of summer flowers and candles. Set in the prettiest private garden it was just perfection.

When I was doing my new website it was so hard to choose the photos, especially when the lovely Gill Flett Photography sends you so many gorgeous photos of my flowers with cakes by the ever so talented Designer Cakes by Elle. Such a fun day ladies x
