More light is on its way and spring is round the corner. I’ve enjoyed the slow hibernation of January but I’m now itching to get back to the flowers.

FLORAL ARCH
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This gorgeous arch and flower lined aisle was the perfect set up for a sunlit ceremony in the Mulberry Room
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After the ceremony the room was turned around and we moved the arch behind the top table. Creating the perfect back drop for those precious speeches and photos.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I am always happy to chat about the logistics of moving flowers from the ceremony to the wedding breakfast, and on the day I’ll be on hand to do the move and make sure everything looks perfect.

Slowly stepping in to 2025.

I’ve been knocked out with flu this week so I have been gently easing myself back in to work mode and starting to make plans for the year.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Hanging up my scissors for another year but before I do I just want to say a big thank you to all my lovely couples who have trusted me to bring their flower visions to life and booked me for their special day this year and for next year.

To all the lovely venues and wedding suppliers I’ve worked with I hope you are all having a well deserved rest with your family, friends and chosen people.

Christmas here I we come... Just finishing up a few emails and other bits and pieces before the Out of Office is on until 6th January 💫

Beautiful capture of F & J’s classic and elegant wedding party. Love the mix of bridesmaids dresses in soft grey and navy, complimenting the guys kilts.

The perfect winter wedding colour palette.

Deep red bridesmaids dresses offset with bouquets of white rananculus, anemones, roses and lisianthus. The dark navy centres of the anemones and the eucalyptus foliage blend the red and white so they don’t appear too stark against each other.

Throwback to this stunning wedding set up in The Saloon
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I loved going big with this statement fireplace arrangement and the meadow-style aisle flowers.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After the ceremony, the guests moved to The Tapestry Room, and we moved the aisle flowers on to the mantelpieces there. The fireplace arrangement stayed in The Saloon, providing a gorgeous focal point for the evening reception.

That’s a wrap for 2024 Weddings

I finished the year with a gorgeous, intimate wedding for H & B. Their long table was adorned with candles, lush florals, and beautifully curated place settings and stationery chosen by the couple. I can’t wait to see the professional photos!

This wedding was a perfect reminder that small and intimate doesn’t mean compromising on flowers or elegance. You can still have all the beauty, abundant blooms, and thoughtful details of a larger celebration—just tailored to feel uniquely personal and special for you as a couple.

With wreaths and Christmas Tree installs all wrapped up for another year it’s time to get back to the wedding flowers with my last wedding of the year tomorrow.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s going to be a seriously lush wedding, seasonal but not too Christmassy was the brief. Lots of lovely roses, ranunculus and hellebores in deep reds and soft pinks.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As this bouquet shows winter and early spring weddings are anything but limited when it comes to choosing beautiful blooms. There are so many gorgeous flowers at this time of year from fluffy ranunculus to sweet scented paper whites, hellebores to anemones, the options are endless.

I’m Nicola Eve, the face behind Flowers by Eve. I don’t often step in front of the camera, I prefer to let the flowers take centre stage, but here I am with a new profile picture, thanks to the lovely Katy

I asked Katy to take an “at work” shot Wedding Open Day. For someone who doesn’t feel particularly natural in front of the camera, Katy truly worked her magic.

True fact: when she snapped this shot, we both cringed and said “so awkward!” because it felt so posed, but Katy managed to capture a little bit of me and I am very grateful for her for making it so easy.

If my experience of having a few photos taken by Katy is anything to go by her couples are truly lucky to have such a lovely, warm and talented person taking their photos and being part of their special day.

TABLE GOALS

I can’t take all the credit for this incredible tablescape, just the flowers.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Poppy and her mum had a clear vision for how they wanted the tables to look for Poppy’s wedding. From hand-making placemats to sourcing the perfect napkins, stationery, and candles, they absolutely nailed every detail. I just had to bring it all together with the florals. (No pressure! 😉)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Poppy’s brief was abundant, messy, full, and seasonal, and I think we nailed it with these gorgeous table centres featuring autumnal hydrangeas, lisianthus, roses, chocolate cosmos, and twisty interesting bits of dried foliage.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It was such a joy to see everything come together so beautifully on the day.
