es & Eights in Tufnell Park and broadcast, produce and present Bonanza & Son on ResonanceFM. Previously Bonanza & Son have taken care of event programmes at a number of London clubs, bars and venues including Radicals & Victuallers in Islington, The Stag in Hampstead and many more small scale reputable venues and music establishments whilst always providing the most compelling and exciting programme of events. Prior to that they ran and promoted numerous London club nights including the Lock Tavern's (Camden) longest running and most successful club night, 'Countrier Than Thou'. Bonanza & Son have in the past been associated with and DJed alongside artists across the board including the late Andrew Weatherall, Josh T Pearson, Earth/Dylan Carlson, Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell, Jim White including his two now legendary sold out concerts at The Saint Pancras Old Church, London. Jim White subsequently performed a live session on Bonanza & Son’s ResonanceFM radio show as all the above with Bonanza & Son building a rapport and healthy working relationships with all its contacts. Bonanza & Son hosted impromptu shows with Josh Rouse at their ‘Countrier Than Thou’ club night at The Lock Tavern in Camden in March. Josh performed a live session and interview on our ResonanceFM radio show in May. Bonanza DJed alongside The Handsome Family at a sold out show at The Islington Assembly Halls, London in May 2013 and later at the world renowned 100 Club on Oxford St. Bonanza & Son have djed at a sold out Teenage Fanclub show at Shepherds Bush Empire as well as many world renowned festivals and large scale invents such as Field Day, Glastonbury and many community events. Past radio shows have included live sessions and interviews with Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell, Josh Rouse, Sylvie Simmons, Jeffrey Foucault, Ry Cavanaugh, Josh T. Pearson, Jonathan Wilson, Earth/Dylan Carlson, Denny Tedesco and a Michael Nesmith Special. Historical features and specials are broadcast alongside regular live sessions from both UK and international acts. Recent live sessions have included Jim White, Josh Rouse, Bloodshot Record signings Ha Ha Tonka and the Decca International signings Shovels & Rope from South Carolina who have recently worked with Jack White on a single released on his 'Third Man’ record label in May 2013. We have also broadcast live sessions by other up and coming or acclaimed acts such as the Rough Trade album of the year 2011 artist Josh T. Pearson, Progressive Bluegrass act The Abrams Brothers from Ontario Canada and the critically acclaimed Jeffrey Foucault from Wisconsin and Canadian Music Award winner/Juno Award nominee Del Barber etc. We have also broadcast specials on Michael Nesmith during his recent UK solo tour and interviewed Award winning, documentary film maker Denny Tedesco; Son of ‘Wrecking Crew’ guitarist Tommy Tedesco. Bonanza & Son recently interviewed renowned rock-writer, award winning journalist and biographer Sylvie Simmonds in relation to her Leonrad Cohen and Neil Young biographies. The radio show also incorporates regular features including ‘Celluloid Country’, where we look at a film, past or contemporary, which features Americana significantly in the soundtrack. Our radio practice is seamlessly integrated within our djing and promotion of Americana acts on the stage and our club night 'Countrier Than Thou’ has successfully moved into it’s sixth year at the Lock Tavern, Camden. Being both promoters, DJs and radio presenters Bonanza & Son showcase the best in both traditional as well as more avant-garde or progressive Country, Blues, Americana and Roots Music on London stages as well as djing regularly in London and abroad. As well as American and Canadian acts Bonanza & Son have championed Country and Americana acts from all over the UK and perhaps unexpectedly from countries as far afield as France, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Jamaica and even Aboriginal Australia.
