FLOWERHOUSE | BIRDHOUSE : repurposing this festive season’s wreath into a quirky ‘Boutique Bird Hotel’ - providing ‘refurbished accommodation’ for the garden’s local birdlife.

Stripping back the seasonal decorations and replacing then with many elements recycled from the recent Christmas and New Year celebrations.

‘Comfortable accommodation’, with ‘luxury bedding’ - using a variety of excess workshop moss and discarded organic gift wrapping.

A coconut shell ‘themed cocktail bar’ and multiple dining ‘experiences’, offering ‘Michelin star dishes’ - incorporating millet plumes, seasonal berries, nuts, fruit, seed heads and mince pie foil cases, re-filled with a mixture of tallow and dried bird food.
..truly 5 star...!!!

FLOWERHOUSE + ‘FLOUR’HOUSE : a recent dried flower installation for EmCakes... a small artisan bakery/café in north-west London.

A ‘signature recipe’ of bright dyed, dried + painted flowers, foliage, grasses and seed-heads ‘blend’ with more neutral tones to create an organic, instagrammable ‘showstopper’.

The installation also ‘baked in’ an obligatory ‘technical challenge’ - ‘proved’ to disguise existing unsightly pipework and conduit.
..’knead’less to say, a unique ‘blend’ of all dried flowers ensures no ‘soggy bottom’ here...!!

RECEPTION DESK | RECEPTION DECS : A small selection of the tabletop arrangements photographed in the workshop before making their way to a corporate reception.
An abundance of dried wintery foliage, flowers and twigs, some painted in corporate colours are embellished with plentiful seasonal decorations, mini glass baubles and paper honeycomb decorations, all creating a ‘frosty festive landscape’ meandering the length of the reception desk.

SECOND HELPINGS : I was delighted to be asked to produce a second ‘flower’ arch for Waitrose & Partners to mark the opening of their latest convenience store opening in Hampton Hill.
This time seasonal vegetables were used inviting festive dining, creating cabbage ‘totems’... Brussels sprout and chestnut garlands... onion and garlic kebabs and carrot, parsnip and leek spears...!!!

THE BURRELL COLLECTION SELECTION : a tiny, close-up edit from my recent The Burrell Collection visit.
One of the worlds greatest single personal collections, consisting of some 9,000 objects from across the globe. Gifted to the City of Glasgow by Sir William Burrell and his wife Lady Constance in 1944.
Housed in an award-winning building, the result of a 1970’s competition it was recently refurbished by John McAslan + Partners between 2016-22.

DAY OF THE DEAD [FLOWERS] : a slightly different take on my Halloween wreath this year... celebrating one of my favourite Disney | Pixar animation films - COCO.
Made from dried and dyed flowers, foliage, berries and seedheads. Painted gourds, twigs, leaves and poppy heads in rich colourful tones encircle a life size skull decoration.
