With a blend of Chrismas melodies and popular yuletide hits it will be a joyous occasion! 🎶

On Friday 13th December, Penge Congregational Church welcomes a flute and harp duo for a programme of Festive Flourishes. Victoria Rockport and Iona Duncan will be performing a varied evening's music from Handel and Vivaldi through to Britten and some well-loved Christmas melodies. Mulled Wine and mince pies will be served before the concert.

There will be the chance to sing some festive music and the opportunity to celebrate our local performing community. Bring a bottle (or a flask of mulled wine!) and celebrate with the Penge Music volunteers as we bring our Open Monday year to a close. 🎶

Come and join Penge Chamber Choir and Selfolk (South East London Folk Orchestra) for an evening of folk inspired music in the fabulous acoustic of St John's Church Penge.

The first part of the evening will be a mixture of more traditional versions of folk songs sitting alongside choral arrangements, including some by Vaughan Williams and local composer Ben Byram-Wigfield.

The second part of the evening will see the church reconfigured to provide space for a lively ceilidh (with caller). So come along to be enchanted by beautiful music and don't forget to wear your dancing shoes!

This month we are very excited to present a very special Lunchtime Recital:

"Around the World in 50 minutes".

Vicky Rockport (flute) and Dominique Wells (piano) featuring Katy Taylor (flute) will take you on a musical journey from Argentina across the globe to Russia: from Piazolla to Prokofiev. The programme will also include works by Schoenfeld, Ferroud, Nielsen, Ibrahim and Gaubert.

Saturday 19th October, 1pm.

We have a beautiful evening of music in store at Penge Congregational Church this Saturday 13th July at 8pm. Penge Chamber Choir and Penge Players will perform an evening of music about the night and sleep. Including works by Purcell, Mozart, Britten and Rameau along with less-well known works from across Europe. The programme will be woven together with poems, readings, and a small excerpt from Midsummer Night's Dream. Tickets are £10 and £5 on the door (cash or card) and children are free. See you there to greet the Entrance of Night!

We are looking forward to welcoming players from SSLSO for the organ recital as part of Penge Festival 2024 this Saturday. There is no admission fee this month but we will be collecting donations towards the upkeep of the organ. Refreshments served before the concert at 1pm.
